We played a bunch of out of form players like Sehwag, Gambhir, Yuvraj etc. and right after England series loss. There's no way you can come anywhere near beating this Indian side. MCcricket Posted June 16, 2013 Posted June 16, 2013 BCCI and cricket in India was at fault for the initial poor record, it wasn't because of lack of talent but nepotism and selections were based on caste, religion, quota, even today there is no state association in Bihar, most of talent was ignored and there was no incentives for players. States like Bihar , U.P , Kerala, J&K AND MOST OTHER STATES WERE not looked after, only players from Mumbai, Delhi and Saurashtra and few other states were selected also within those states selections were not based on merit.

How i wish we played more tests with them in last 6/7 years.....
