vvvslaxman Posted June 20, 2013 Posted June 20, 2013 Let us begin.. Indias batting vs England's bowling Anderson has really good figures at Edgbastan 6 matches 14 wickts 18 avge 4.86 ER 22.2 SR Once against Trott will be a thorn in the flesh for another side. 153 runs in 2 matches he has played here averaging 76.50. Conditions, are going in favor of England. All India has is their flair cricket to counter them. India got everything easy up until now. Now we are against a traditional side who would not step outside their comfort zone that easily. If the conditions are bowling conditions that might just suit them. If the conditions are batsmen friendly and they have to come out of their comfort zone then we are in business.
JaFanatic Posted June 20, 2013 Posted June 20, 2013 i want us to win it with conditions favouring them :proud:
cowboysfan Posted June 20, 2013 Posted June 20, 2013 I feel its Anderson Vs India,he can end the match quickly with a good spell,i hope the openers are more cautious but i dont think they will change their style.
Sachin=GOD Posted June 20, 2013 Posted June 20, 2013 I feel its Anderson Vs India' date='he can end the match quickly with a good spell,[b']i hope the openers are more cautious but i dont think they will change their style. I hope they don't change their style. They should play the attacking game right from the start so as to neutralize the thread of Anderson & Co.
JaFanatic Posted June 20, 2013 Posted June 20, 2013 i want us to win it with conditions favouring them :proud: i also want us to lose the toss

carnish Posted June 20, 2013 Posted June 20, 2013 fixed sir :) BTW vvs, you have only talked about Jimmy and Trott. Even if they are the biggest threats, I believe most of the English batting is in good form. Morgan was good in IPL, Bopara was good against Lankans, Cook is ever consistent and Bell has done well in this series barring last game. Plus the new guy Root looks like he is the new star of the future. Bresnan becoming a dad has come in the wrong time I guess, because now they have a better bowler in Finn coming to the side and Finn has always done well against India. I believe Finn is a bigger threat to us than Jimmy. Most likely, they will also have Swann back for the game against us. Its a better looking side than any we faced in the tournament playing at home. Will be tough.
special K Posted June 20, 2013 Posted June 20, 2013 Only the weather can save India if the match gets washed out.
G_B_ Posted June 20, 2013 Posted June 20, 2013 (A) a lot depends on weather. Overcast bowl. Good weather bat. As of now the weather is showing rain. But you never know on the day. (B) through this tournament the edgbaston pitch has been very dry. Which means the spinners will have a part to play. Dhoni needs to stop keeping Ashwin and Jadeja back. Attack with them and also try to get a few Raina overs in. © England found reverse at Edgbaston v Australia. I dont think they will be able to do the same as the umpires will watch them like hawks and so will India.
carnish Posted June 20, 2013 Posted June 20, 2013 avg : 4? :omg: Thats economy rate ... Avg is 18. Read properly.
vvvslaxman Posted June 20, 2013 Author Posted June 20, 2013 avg : 4? :omg: No average 18.. 4.86 is ER. :winky:
Muloghonto Posted June 20, 2013 Posted June 20, 2013 Only the weather can save India if the match gets washed out. only winning the toss against India will save your team.
Sachin=GOD Posted June 20, 2013 Posted June 20, 2013 Only the weather can save India if the match gets washed out. I have only one request - plz don't run away from ICF if England doesn't win.

On a flat pitch when their bowlers are not effective, their batsmen have to step up
panther Posted June 20, 2013 Posted June 20, 2013 Whichever team has won the toss at Birmingham has won their match.
Old guy Posted June 20, 2013 Posted June 20, 2013 Whichever team has won the toss at Birmingham has won their match. Based on how many matches ?
