This trophy was fixed. The match should have been called off. Cook and Trott aren't 20/20 batsmen. Alex Hales, Luke Wright and KP in the side we'd have won this easily. No Swann either. India played a reserve English team and had the 3rd umpire on BCCI wages. Disgraceful.

2007 WT20 ofcourse was better ... It is the biggest event in that format and I remember India had played about just 1 IT20 till that tournament. It was amazing beating Pakis in the finals. We have already won the CT once before, so this is not as big as that was.

This was a good tournament but seriously most of us Didnt care about the champions trophy till the last few days or so. 2007 t20 cup meant how good we were at a particular format,had more excitement,felt like a proper world tournament .....this not so much and the quality of cricket was way better. Pak,aus,south Africa all had better teams than this one. Beating a full strength Aussie team in semis and our arch rivals in the finals was more satisfying.

Both were pretty similar. New players, going in as underdogs, stalwarts not playing, J Sharma to I Sharma in Dhoni's masterpiece. There was a point in both finals where the hope was vanishing. One thing I hate about T20 win now, is that a match fixer took the final catch.

T20 because i have never seen a more fun tournament. - T20 was new and it was like enjoying cricket at it purest - just hit sixes and have fun - Almost all matches were very exciting - there were some mindblowing moments for india - the whole final, 666666, yuvi in semis, - bowlouts, RP singh vs. SA - India did not dominate and had to really fight in every match - And yes beating pak in a final in a heart stopping end CT13 was in comparision very easy for us. no match was even close except for the final. we were just too good for everyone.

and yes we beat some very strong teams to win it - Aus (hayden, gilly, symonds), SA (who had chased 200+ vs. WI), Pak ( they were in great form) , even NZ was good and they were only team to beat us

i`ll personally say theWT20 07 will always remain my favorite..love t20s in safrica,brilliant atmosphere,the team went as massive underdogs, came back from being almost down and out after losing to nzl to beat heavyweights and experienced teams like saf,aus,england.. the mood was also good since we just won a test series in england :king:
