The Outsider Posted June 27, 2013 Posted June 27, 2013 Population growth and sprawling urban centers are going to make these kind of incidents just more frequent unfortunately. Ultimately, the sufferers will be leopards and other wildlife as they will be slowly eliminated from the biosphere.

One reads about a sighting like this every 10-15 days. Don't think the BMC (or its Thane equivalent) are well equipped to handle leopards.

The commute is going to be an overkill. I remember this once I'd gone to the Chokhi Dhani, between Thane and Bhiwandi. It took us 2 hours to reach there. :mad: Absolutely not worth the travel time. I can't imagine having to commute such distances on a daily basis.

Either that or go through byculla S bridge.. or bombay central and nagpada I'm so screwed. :cantstop:

I stayed reasonably near by for way too long and can tell you that even a 20 min delay in leaving your home can mean getting stuck in unending traffic. The difference in traffic between 8 am and 820 am is really stark. And its in both directions. I'm no expert with roads, but I feel you should take the Sea Link and then the Western Express Highway and Ghodbunder road to go to Thane. Might be faster, albeit more circuitous and its definitely more scenic.

So I need to go from eastern express. The only other way is to go via eastern freeway which also doesn't seem like a great idea.

Besides, older women must have the slowest reactions and reflexes. Their senses are not very efficient. They don't hear or see that well. So they probably realize the presence of a tiger very late.

When the MIL didn't answer...she looked around and the old woman was gone. They found some part of her the next day.....she didn't even hear anything.:ohmy: or did she ?:hmmm::secret: p.s---the above news was passed down many mouths and hence to be taken with a pinch of salt.
