I don't think Smit patel has done anything in India A tour or domestic cricket. Pujara could have been there in place of Vijay. Ashwin has a ready made replacement there in the form of Mishra.

smit patel is yet to do anything spectacular but has been decent and consistent so far but i think its always safe to have two wk-batsmen in the squad

Let Vijay replace Dhoni and open with Dhawan Rohit at 4 Shammi should replace Sharma. As far as MSD...even if he gets fit..let him take rest for this series and Zibmabwe tour (which he will take anyway). However I feel Dhoni is one of those players who dont believe in taking rests as he thinks only playing continuously can him to maintain form.

Rayudu wont be there for tomorrow's match our batting is thin now,makes sense to strengthen bowling now to cover it up.We can then defend low scores hopefuly
