Performance against Zim shouldn't be the benchmark for future selection for seniors and in that sense I'm glad they were ignored for this particular tour.

Hence this tweet.

express bowling Posted July 5, 2013 Posted July 5, 2013 Good selection as far as batsmen and spinners are concerned. I especially like the fact that Pujara has been selected. Getting practice on the bouncy Zimbabwe wickets will be really beneficial before the SAF tour. Rayudu and Rasool are good selections too. Would have liked Yuvi though. I am disappointed with the selection of pacers though. ( Should have been 5 pacers ) Shami and Mohit are good choices. Resting Umesh, Bhuvi and Ishant ( prefer dropping him ) is nice too. But I don't like Unadkat and Vinay's selection. I would have preferred Kaul , Dhawal and atleast one 140 k + pacer. Suyal would have been ideal. His domestic record is quite good too. Unadkat's selection is very strange.
