This is the second time I am reading about Mohit Sharma being called a genuine fast bowler. First it was the CSK owner at the time of his purchase and now it is his coach Aswini Kumar. We have all seen pacers being wrongly hyped up as far as pace is concerned like Mithun, Warrier and even VRV Singh. But there is a chance that Mohit is a fast medium bowler and not gentle medium like he led us to believe in the IPL. Whenever he hit the deck hard , he was actually getting good purchase from the pitch even though he never touched 140 k in the IPL.
That is the reason I put the article, I have not seen him bowl fast, if he can bowl beteween 137 to 147 that would be great if he gets movement as he needs special skills and pace to excel at this level, especially not being tallish.

VRV was not hyped wrong. He was certainly quick. In 2006 India A tour to UAE, he bowled 140 plus consistently. On SA tour 2006 too, he bowled 140 plus.

Warrier was as qucik as Shami Ahmed in the Deodhar Trophy. Mithun is quicker than the IPL phaast bowlers like Dhawal,Abu Nechim etc. Dinda can bowl 140+ in T20s,so I tjhink Mohit sharma is medium fast.

All these balls pitched on Seam and at Good pace indipped to clean bowl The batsman..... InDia"s best bowler who makes the ball pitch on Seam Seems Bhuvi n may be mohit also tries that....... Ishant now a days NEVER suceed on pitching the ball on Seem Umesh suceeds 2 out of 6 balls....... Bhuvi does it 4 of 6 balls.....

Surprisingly good squads, only changes for me wouldve been to get in another opener in the A team- Mukund- instead of Raina, who with all due respect should now be out of chances for a test slot. I guess Pujara will serve as backup opener for the A team Would have loved to see Pankaj Singh be a part of the A squad too. I guess a left arm seamer needed to be tried out. R Dhawan may have been a better allrounder option than Binny though SB is probably a better LTd overs option. I hope there are a few changes for the Ltd overs team- dont need Vijay, S Dhawan, Rohit and Raina playing A team ltd overs cricket... get in Uthappa and few other specialists. Wagh instead of Pandey maybe Maybe Kohli could have been rested from that Zim tour too... Wow tri series with Aus and SA A teams- thattll be a test!! When does A tour start?

he is a shyte bowler. Kallis whacked him around for fun last time around.
He was 18 and should never have been picked on that tour. Was not ready at all. He has grown since Im sure

Mohit's quickest in IPL was 142k.
Indeed. The guy is not slow. He bowled consistent good speeds in the IPL. Everyone seems to act like he is a slow-medium pacer. He is as quick as Shami Ahmed.
