philcric Posted July 6, 2013 Posted July 6, 2013 Which set of cricketers will bring most glory to Indian cricket in this decade (2010-2019) ? Please add the names of more emerging players. The Singhs - Mahendra, Yuvraj, Harbhajan, Mandeep, Jiwanjot ... The Kumars - Bhuvneshwar, Praveen, Vinay ... The Sharmas - Ishant, Rohit, Mohit, Rahul, Sandeep ...
philcric Posted July 6, 2013 Author Posted July 6, 2013 We need more Koomars. Most likely the battle's gonna be between Singhs and Sharmas.
randomGuy Posted July 6, 2013 Posted July 6, 2013 the Ravis will bring their respective teams more success Ravindra jadeja, Ravichandran ashwin, ravi bopara, ravi rampaul
India-KXIP fan Posted July 6, 2013 Posted July 6, 2013 Im a fan of all those Sharma's listed barring Mohit tbh, Praveen Kumar and all the Singh's barring Dhobi who is good player but Im neither fan nor hater. I won't take any side, but more glory will be from the Singh's :king: Also a mention to Gurinder Singh Sandhu who will become Australia's No.1 fast bowler very soon Virat probably has middle name Singh. :orderorder: Bishan, Yuvraj, Harbhajan and Navjot are all Indian legends. Expecting trend to continue.
India-KXIP fan Posted July 6, 2013 Posted July 6, 2013 the Ravis will bring their respective teams more success Ravindra jadeja, Ravichandran ashwin, ravi bopara, ravi rampaul Ravi Shastri is best Indian commentator, others put you to :asleep: even in most dramatic moments.
G_B_ Posted July 6, 2013 Posted July 6, 2013 These lesser names simply occupy space till the rise of another legendary Kar Gavaskar----Vengsarkar------Tendulkar------ future legend He will rise in the future and bring balance to the cricketing world. You have all been made aware.
G_B_ Posted July 6, 2013 Posted July 6, 2013 Its funny in a way most marathi cricketers to represent India have mostly all been e's (names ending in e, Hazare Rahane, Gupte More) i's (name ending with i Nadkarni, Adhikari, Kambli) or the kars (Solkar, Gavaskar, Tendulkar both Majrekars) In that sense Patil Pawars etc stands out........
PriyankaSR Posted July 6, 2013 Posted July 6, 2013 Combo of sharmas and singhs. ( rohit and MSD) :nice:

randomGuy Posted July 7, 2013 Posted July 7, 2013 Those are first names That's alrite I suppose. Nothing common in backgrounds of dhoni n yuvraj or praveen n vinay. Kumar n singh is used in many regions of india. :also People who want to change their last names usually go for one of these surnames.
