Praveen and Bhuvneshwar together

I think it's time to realize bowling at international is more line and length than just pace. And our strength has been line and length. And our most consitent bowlers have been Praveen Kumar and Bhuneshwar kumar off late. It's hard to decipher why Prveen is sitting out today. In a nation which hasn't produced great Express fast bowlers, we are trying to keep Praveen out of the team only because he doesn't have much pace? I thnk Praveen with Bhuvneshar can be really a big threat to oppositions. He did really well in England in test matches too where we got killed 4-0. He has done well in Australia in the past in his first tournament. With so much cricket happening now days, it's good to have good line and length bowlers like Praveen and Bhuvneshwar, over some other bowlers who aren't consistent enough.

Honestly even though I like pk its a big no for me. Our attack looks good now cos all the pace bowlers are very different ..the sameness in the attack will hurt us . Even having the likes of yadav and Ishant helps BK imo as they bowl different lengths and at different pace...lets keep it the way it is atm

Shami Ahmed despite his few failures is a very good seam and swing bowler. Needs some encouragement and a consistent run in the side. Him and Bhuvi will be a very good new ball pair for ODIs. Mohit Sharma is another one, consistent line and length at a decent pace and moves the ball both ways.

Tics did you watch the IPL? PK was struggling to get wickets in Mohali on bowler friendly surfaces. Awana and Sandeep Sharma bowled better. Like Irfan lost the swing and zip around 2006-07, PK too lost it post his elbow injury. Add the disciplinary issues he has had. Needs a lot of wickets to make a comeback. Hope he still values the India Cap and is serious about his international career unlike RP Singh and Munaf who are content with IPL and some domestic matches.

PK is finished and don't even think about him getting back in to the team. He was pretty useful when he was bowling ateast 128-130s. But he started bowling 125 and it was so easy for international batsmen to deal with dat kind of pace. I have high hopes from Shammi ahmed and Varun aaron. Hope they will deliver.

Yaar, People make lot of hue and cry about Mohali being sporting wicket in India and anyone not doing good there can be a trundler and stuff. Seriously, I don't hate IPL but at the same time, someone failing in a twenty20 tournament isn't really big of a deal for me. It doesn't take much time for a good player who has played good amount of international cricket, to come back into the team. I mean, let me get back down to earth here. Fellow Indian fans have always been brought back down to earth by oppositions and their supporters after we have over praised our any new bowlers as "next sensation". Basically, we haven't really had any consistent bowlers in last decade. I hope that's not going to be true for Bhuvneshwar. Again back on topic, Praveen I believe needs some time and he can be fine. I think failing in a twenty20 won't matter much. Even Dale Steyn had a horrific first few years of IPL for Bangalore. Also, he gets better with the ball once he has bowled enough overs. 4 overs where you can sometimes bowlign just 2 over spell isn't the best way to judge him. He bowling 4-6 overs in a row, is what he is best at. That' s how Dhoni used him in Indian team and that is how he gained success in Australia in those tri series finals, foxing Punter and the rest.

Sandeep Sharma and Bhuvi together. Sandeep Sharma is extremely under-rated and is always at the batsman, hardly gives them any gimmes and always picks up wkts with the new ball. With him supporting Bhuvi we will get early wkts more often than not.

I dont think you still realize that PK's ODI record is not better than even Ishant and you are harping how he has been so good. PK has not been a wicket taker. Other than than that you need variety in your attack. The kind of attack we have now is a perfect combination. One swing bowler, one genuine quick bowler, and one bowler who can get bounce. This is an ideal combination for any attack. Now it is all about all of the three getting it right. Ishant is bowling decently if not great and if Yadav does not get it right soon in terms of control, I would like him to be replaced by a fit Aaron. You need at least one bowler who can clock at around 140K or more consistently. If you have all bowers with same pace, batsmen can get used to it.

Bhuvi, Mohit Sharma, and Varun Aaron is our perfect ODI bowling combination,coz all three have better control compared to the trio of Ishant, Yadav, Bhuvi !

For the seamer friendly conditions (ODI's) Bhuvi, PK, Aaron, Suyal/any good left armer will be the perfect attack with jaddu as the spinner allrounder.
