Texy Posted July 19, 2013 Posted July 19, 2013 So this guy sang 'God bless America' few days ago at an All Star Major League Baseball game. It's a tradition to have someone sing the national song before each game. Reactions from the Twitterverse: **(Spic) --- It's a derogatory term referring to Hispanics. Similar to the N word for blacks. :hysterical::hysterical: So who's the guy singing 'God bless America' in the picture above? New York born, Puerto Rican descent, American Grammy award winning recording artist Marc Anthony. :cantstop:
FischerTal Posted July 19, 2013 Posted July 19, 2013 :hysterical::hysterical::hysterical: ill bet a million dollars that all of these fecktards are rednecks.
Lord Posted July 19, 2013 Posted July 19, 2013 tbh if Atif Aslam or some other sang Vande Mataram or 'Jana Gana Mana',I'd be pissed off too
rkt.india Posted July 19, 2013 Posted July 19, 2013 tbh if Atif Aslam or some other sang Vande Mataram or 'Jana Gana Mana'' date='I'd be pissed off too[/quote'] doubt he will ever sing it.
Brainfade Posted July 19, 2013 Posted July 19, 2013 There are nutjobs in every country. And they come in all colors and ethnicities. Some Hispanic nutjobs are prolly making racist comments about "gringos," some Black nutjobs are making racist comments about crackers, and desis are complaining about goras being racist, kallus being criminals, Chaptaas being dirty and Makkus not speaking English. I think part of the motivation of the OP is to point out tenuous race relationships in America in light of the Zimmerman-Martin case. On that note: a couple of weeks ago, in Georgia, an unarmed white guy was jumped by 4 18-yr old black kids who pummeled him and threw him into traffic to be run over and die. Maybe Joe Biden should make an "If I had a son .... " statement.
Crookbond Posted July 19, 2013 Posted July 19, 2013 tbh if Atif Aslam or some other sang Vande Mataram or 'Jana Gana Mana'' date='I'd be pissed off too[/quote'] Why? :dontknow:
Malcolm Merlyn Posted July 19, 2013 Posted July 19, 2013 Well if some one from another country sang Vande Matram at our National Pas time i would be pissed too.
hhunaeh Posted July 19, 2013 Posted July 19, 2013 did none of the commenters read this ? So who's the guy singing 'God bless America' in the picture above? New York born, Puerto Rican descent, American Grammy award winning recording artist Marc Anthony
Alchemist Posted July 19, 2013 Posted July 19, 2013 tbh if Atif Aslam or some other sang Vande Mataram or 'Jana Gana Mana'' date='I'd be pissed off too[/quote'] They will have fatwa on them before you get time to be pissed on them. Tragedy of it is, most of the fatwas will be from religious organizations in India.
Brainfade Posted July 19, 2013 Posted July 19, 2013 Well if some one from another country sang Vande Matram at our National Pas time i would be pissed too. The guy's an American citizen. The people who are complaining about him singing the national anthem are just looking for something to complain.
Crookbond Posted July 19, 2013 Posted July 19, 2013 The guy is singing the national song/anthem verbatim without being sarcastic or anything - right?. Why the hell should anyone have a problem as to who sings it?
Clarke Posted July 19, 2013 Posted July 19, 2013 tbh if Atif Aslam or some other sang Vande Mataram or 'Jana Gana Mana'' date='I'd be pissed off too[/quote'] I'd be happy that it would piss off a ton more padosis :P That should be all.
Lord Posted July 19, 2013 Posted July 19, 2013 Why? :dontknow: Because I expect that anyone who sings it (atleast publicly) should have some respect and patriotic feeling towards India.can't be expected off a non-Indian.He'll only be doing it for money, which disrespects and defeats the purpose of the anthem/national song
Crookbond Posted July 19, 2013 Posted July 19, 2013 Because I expect that anyone who sings it (atleast publicly) should have some respect and patriotic feeling towards India.can't be expected off a non-Indian.He'll only be doing it for money' date=which disrespects and defeats the purpose of the anthem/national song No respect does not mean disrespect. You have complete freedom to be pissed off but there can be no action legal or otherwise taken.
Lord Posted July 19, 2013 Posted July 19, 2013 No respect does not mean disrespect. You have complete freedom to be pissed off but there can be no action legal or otherwise taken. yep just my opinion only.I want such songs to be sung by Indians only
adi B Posted July 19, 2013 Posted July 19, 2013 hispanics have faced racism but wtf is wrong with these twitter hacks, making silly and vile comments just bcoz he sang GBA !! :cantstop:
Sachin=GOD Posted July 19, 2013 Posted July 19, 2013 I really don't don't care who sings these songs because at the end of the day this is just symbolic. Respect/patriotism does not come from singing any songs for your country.
