We might surprise India in one game: Zim coach

I just think he is saying what most of us expect Zim to do. Probably nick a game in the 5 match series. Maybe keeping expectations low is the key with some people especially his players?

Fair enough. But I seriously hope that is not how he motivates his players in the dressing room. You know, aim for the stars and you may reach the skies and all that stuff.

I dont think his players need motivation. A good performance v India might open the doors for a big fat IPL contract. Which is why teams like WI NZ Zim try their hardest v India. You have something personal to gain. Brendon Taylor especially will be looking to make a point. I was reading a WI fan forum and many fans there allege that WI unestablished stars want to play India as much as possible to get an IPL contract if they shine. I am sure a hack king like Charles will probably get one in the ipl. Who knows

Hmmm.......So their primary motivation is a lucrative contract in a money-laden corrupt t20 league and not national pride?? Very sad if true. I understand that players need to look out for themselves, but they should try their very best irrespective of the opposition.......besides, don't IPL franchises often try to get the high profile players?? Kevin O'Brien being the biggest victim of such bias......

As i mentioned in another thread, I would take Brendon Taylor over Dan christian anyday there are too many third rate aussies in the ipl

Very valid point. Guys like Herath (underrated spinner), Tamim Iqbal, Taylor miss out......

Zimbabwe dont have any good seam bowlers do they? Back in the day Streak used to be a constant threat :fear: Also expect Taylor to feast on out bowling atleast in one of the games....But still think 5-0 the most lilkely result.

Apparently Jarvis is highly rated.
