Talkning about Rajiv Gandhi, he was also the man responsible for flaming the Ayodhya Temple/Babri Masjid issue... He was the one who facilitated the 'shilanyas' of 'Ram Lalla' and opend the locked gates... He did this to counter the Hindu feelings after he 'sorted' out the Shahbano case... Just because he's passed away doesn't takes away the blame from Congress...

The operation blue star was equally as notorious as the 1984 riots. A PM of a country ordered a military attack, using tanks and choppers, while the civilians are still inside a holy complex. This could well be a single most notorious misuse of military power in the world (excluding dictators and banana republics). Remember the wikileaks reveal about the riots? Its opportunitism and a hatred against a community.

It's not that they don't try. Watch any debate on TV and the BJP representatives are always ready to raise their chaddhis bringing up '84 whenever '02 is being discussed. However, the point has no resonance among people beyond their own supporters because: 1. Rajiv Gandhi is long dead. 2. All other prominent leaders involved in '84 are non entities today. 3. A Sikh is a PM appointed by the widow of Rajiv Gandhi. 4. Manmohan Singh and Sonia Gandhi have both apologized for '84.
MMS was appointed as PM becoz of there are many protests, to make a foreigner as PM. The Apology is a joke. The congress govt never really cared for India. They are busy selling our natural resourses, mocking the poor, and slowly killing an entire country. I can tolerate BJP, than a party which is selling the entire country.

+1000. The nehru family shouldn't rule our country anymore. The italian and her son never cares, nor gonna leave India alone. It looks like they are determined to push India into a hellhole.

The impression I get is that a large number of people in the country no longer care about the 84 riots and do not see this as an issue because its been so many years since it happened.

Care wouldn't be the right word. Rather it is insignificant to some which is idiotic from them. And let's not even make this a singular incident, there are tons of incidents like these, before 1984 and after 2002 which deserves some attention, some justice and some political willpower.

In Ishrat Jahan case they were not terrorists, as per CBI.. Read a news recently that CBI has announced 'reward' for anybody to give background details of those killed so as to confirm if there were terrorists or innocents... And also that encounter was fake as compared to other encounters/operations...

Huh? Ishrat Jahan case was where they were targeted for being terrorists as per IB intel. But for some reason that is disputed by CBI and they want to blow the entire cover. And in Operation Blue Star, a whole lot of innocents people were purposefully killed. There can be no comparison actually between both. A better comparison will be with Batla House encounter, so now the only way to judge a encounter is real and genuine is if one of our own dies? That's very poor and a dangerous precedent has been set.

+1 and does modi show any remorse or regret for 2002? no, instead he calls them kutte ke bacche
When modi started his "sadhbhavna yatra" kapil sibbal said " sau chuhe kha ke billi haj ko chali"... did sibal equate riot victims with rats ??

Good question - Sibal's statement is a popular idiom, Modi's analogy was created by him.

Sikhs have education, land, proud history, money, representation. They are Jews of India, less than 2% in India but they are allmost everywhere in world. Whereas Indian Muslims are backward, uneducated, over populated, poor. Muslims need support in India. Today Sikhs care more about Policies of Canadian/American/British/Australian government than Indian. Rich influential higher caste Sikhs have left India in Lakhs, those left behind are non-Jatt caste.

Unlike the Jews though, Sikhs aren't the forerunning capitalists of our nation........a lot of them do migrate to the Western countries.........but that doesn't make them any different from the scores of Gujaratis, South Indians (my family included), Sindhis who relocate to the Gulf and everywhere else....... The Muslim situation in India is, well, rather complex......while Muslims do get discriminated against in all spheres of life in the country, a situation that needs rectification..........there are certain Muslim groups.....followers of that clown Akbaruddin Owaisi instantly spring to mind.......who don't necessarily act in the best interests of the Nation towards achieving peace or establishing a state of decorum on communal lines........I've rather simplified the issue here......but the point is......the situation has a two sided-problem.......

jews in india and cab drivers abroad? Not-jatts are better imo coz unlike jatts they dont live in the false pretense that they are somehow inherently better than the rest.

Looks like some people have no idea about Operation Bluestar.
And some people love one liners. And also these people refuse to accept or even acknowledge certain events like the biggest anti-Muslim riots involving Congress party and to provide justice for those victims. Communal Congress and even more communal are the people who talk about how some riots are irrelevant and the victims there deserve no justice. Convenient secularism.

maybe people like me have no idea about operation bluestar.. but my point was simple.. & I dont support the idealogy of violence, there are rotten eggs in both BJP & Congress baskets and more so in Congress basket, which gets forgotten in the frenzy of Godhra & Modi
