Not sold on him when it comes to playing quality pace especially on those tracks....WOuld love to be proven wrong....It's always good to go with Experienced players in a WC by that I dont mean Oldies but say someone like Virat in 2011' date='SRT in 1992,SG/RD in 99[/quote'] your missing the point. Anybody could emerge. Somebody like Uttappa Rahane Chand Vijay etc these guys are young enough to raise their game.(below 30) Look at dhawan when i first saw him playing for india 2 years ago i thought never going to hack it. Two years onwards he has raised his game. I doubt Gambhir and Viru will be back. Politics being the issue. But Dhawan proves, comebacks are possible. In the grandest of fashion.

dhawan-sehwag so what if he is not in formgayle is still in windies team batting at 5.in australia he can be used as pinch hitter if not as opener.Seriously saying he should be in squad.he can smash the short balls all around the park.karthik is another option.but no nohit please....

Sehwag has nothing to do with form, he is eye-hand co ordination player like Ponting, instinct player can't play pre-meditated shots. Such players deteriorate at rapid rate. Ponting had technique to fallback on, Sehwag lacks that. He is finished.

Why dont you give him even half the amount of chance that Sachin got before making a judgement...then lets see if its form or hand eye Coordination (which I dont agree). Sehwag is only 33 and has cricket left in him :agree:

Yep its just that Vijay scored 3 centuries in the last series than Sehwag could manage in 3 years.Something hard to grasp?

Lol Sehwag would we a joke with 2 two new ball.Even at his peak he was exposed badly in ODIs in Australia. Was even drooped for the CB series final. And to make it worse he would retardedly use the 1 DRS available even if he is bowled and be useless in the field. No way should he be anywhere near the ODI team anymore

^he is talking about odi i guess
And when did Vijay called up for in ODIs regularly (every alternate series) as he mentioned? He was selected for ODI series after 2 years and was dropped after 2 games .He didnt even open in any of those 2 games.I am not saying Vijay deserves to be in the ODI team(which would be ridiculos) but that argument was even more daft if it was about ODIs

i think based on the recent performances, mooli deserves to go to saf for the test series if he shows patience and temperament (i am not too confident with gambo, sehwag has ridiculously failed in the last 2 tours to saf)..in odis,a big no to mooli

yes mooli to open in SA. Has earned his spot. If i was mooli i will stick to tests. He just cant go from one format to another.
