diga Posted August 5, 2013 Author Posted August 5, 2013 Hyderabad: TRS president K. Chandrasekhar Rao said on Sunday that his party will never accept it if Hyderabad is declared a Union Territory or made the permanent joint capital for Telangana and Andhra. Denying media reports that he asked Andhra employees to go back to their native places, Rao clarified that he only said employees of both the regions will have to work in their respective governments. “I merely said they will have to work for the Andhra government while Telangana employees will work for the Telangana government. I never said Andhra employees should go back. It is media misinterpretation of my speech,†he said. He is keen to develop the neglected Telangana region and will roll out the red carpet for any investor from any part of the world, including the Andhra region, he said. Rao was participating in a ‘Meet the Press’ programme organised by the Telangana Journalists Forum on Sunday. He said the TRS has no objection if the Andhra state government functions from Hyderabad for 10 years, provided the whole administrative control of Hyderabad capital city remains with the Telangana state government. He said he was not asking anybody to leave as people from all regions of the country have been settled in Telangana for centuries. “We need investment and will roll out the red carpet for whoever comes here to invest.†Hyderabad will be a safest place for investments and Brand Hyderabad image will continue. Reacting to reports that several Andhra leaders, including Union minister Chiranjeevi, are demanding that Hyderabad should be declared a Union Territory, Rao said, “It is not acceptable to people of Telangana.†He also made it clear that the Telugu film industry will remain in Hyderabad and will be developed further. Unveiling his vision of Telangana, he said he wants to see a smile on the face of people of Telangana who suffered injustice since the region's merger with Andhra State in 1956. "The people of Telangana suffered injustice in all spheres of life and nobody can dispute this. Their resources were taken away, and they were denied employment opportunities. Now they will get justice, their due share, and will be able to live a respectable life." When asked about the TRS's merger with the Congress, KCR said, "Let the bill creating Telangana state be formed. We will think of merging the party then and not before that. We will also make all our demands and the promises we have made for Telangana part of the merger plan. If these are not acceptable, we will continue our TRS identity forever, as I have promised a Dalit should be made Chief Minister of the state. My role will be confined to an advisory one." He said 10,000 MW power projects will come up within five years of the formation of Telangana state.

diga Posted August 6, 2013 Author Posted August 6, 2013 lol all the haters making fake photoshop pics? must be burning. Show your hate but we will have our state. what about this statement from TRS Rao asked all Andhra employees to go back to their native places Even though the context he said may have been different, its bound to be misinterpreted by his followers
urbestfriend Posted August 6, 2013 Posted August 6, 2013 You are not getting the point are you......When did I say NTR' date=CBN or Ramoji are paragons of virtue,I am saying that investment from people form Andhra has developed the region....Now tell me how much has "Telangana" industrialists/Landlords invested here or if there are any. Yes Ramoji Rao is a greedy buisinessman who exploits his employees again which corporation doesn't?Atleast he generated Jobs again in the "Telangana" region. Agfain define MLA's from "opressed castes"? I went to school with a guy who was son of DSP and he literally paid no fees because he belonged to the "opressed" caste,And you know how DSP's earn in India don't you :winky:.....Define "opressed" caste?Just because someone belongs to that caste doesn't make it an acheivement to how they got there.None of the names you mentioned seem very "opressed". I dont understand this, how does it help local people if you invest in real estate for your profit. Its not like these folks invested in industries here giving jobs to people. They made huge profit out of land in Hyderabad due to IT boom which would have happened anyway even if these Andhra folks haven't invested in real estate heavily.
urbestfriend Posted August 6, 2013 Posted August 6, 2013 It doesnt make an iota of sense to say Hyderabad was developed by coastal people, Hyderabad was a big city back from Vijayanagar times and later capital of Nizam for hundreds of years. It has infrastructure created by Nizam which no other Andhra city could match, a reason why it was selected as a capital. It is just that Educated Andhra people heavily invested in hyderabad real estates due to the advent of IT boom, and the government leaders used taxpayers money to improve the infrastructure to make profit. Telangana has everything to gain from the bifurcation once Hyderabad is given to Telngana state and money from Hyderabad is used only for Telangana region, Andhra will also gain due to investments from coastal people back home.

Well, the biggest employer in any city would be the state and central government. The public enterprises has been set up in hyderabad was set up as early as in 60's (comparing to bangalore, which became an investment centre in late 90's). Even the pearl market was very famous in retail, was set up in british rule. The biggest tourist attraction was pearls and briyani (no pun intended, it's true and even I visit Hyd for that only :D ). Hyderabad is alrealy a city like Chennai, when Bangalore is still a town. It's developed by Nizam's and British. Now, the pharma sector investments were made by AP's big business men, and the IT was mostly from multi nationals. What maniac says is the bio pharma companies, which are dominated by coastal AP people, are in danger of being shifted to coastal AP's capital but that's no easy job. The biggest gain will be the govt. jobs, which are highly dominated by coastal AP people.

Bangalore became known outside India after IT revolution but it has been a hub of PSUs/Government companies from 60s. Bangalore had more PSUs than any other city like BEL, BEML, BHEL, HAL, NAL, ISRO, DRDO etc. In AP, coastal people invested heavily in education from British time. Also coastal AP has fertile land due to Godhavari and Krishna. No wonder if you see AP's politics after independence, it is mostly lead by Coastal people. It is very much necessary to go extra mile to take backward region like Telangana, but leaders have failed, a reason why there is tremendous support for Telangana among her people. It is a win-win situation, Rural areas in telangana will benifit due to revenue from Hyderabad and Coastal region is any way rich.

Sandeep99 Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 Let Telangana, Andhra and everyone to to hell. All I care is about Hyderabad B-)
Sandeep99 Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 And to put into context, Hyderabad was never under developed like my Andhra friends claim here. It already had all the infrastructure which is why it was chosen to be the capital in 1956. Yes, the investments have flown in but which capital city was not developed? It was bound to happen. And Hyderabad is just one of the issues. Division of waters is going to create many many problems. The fertile lands from which Andhra investors have made money from depends on this. Andhra Pradesh (the current state including Telangana) already has troubles from neighbouring Maharashtra and Karnataka in this regard. Godavari and Krishna flow through Telangana.. More water disputed to come? The Telanganites feel there's a lot of untapped potential in Mahaboobnagar lands.. Just a matter of water availability
Sandeep99 Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 The backward Telanagana region will immensely benefit from the bifurcation as the revenue from Hyderabad will be concentrated totally in a single region. Andhra already has good economic centers like Vizag, Vijayawada which can be developed further. It's a win-win situation for all.

All the money was made in Hyderabad and was siphoned straight back into andhra region where all the regional cities and farming prospered while the same things back in Telangana suffered at andhra's success.

True. Name one city from Telangana other than Hyderabad! Anyway, peace and stability are needed now. No need for gloating
kubrickian Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 The only reason these Telangana goons are demanding separate state is because they want only their region to be benefited from Hyderabad as its a fast developing city and the revenue generated from it to develop only their region, which is completely unfair as Andhra people invested a lot in Hyd and when Hyd got a lot of investments, infrastructure projects, nobody from Andhra region demanded similar projects in Vizag or Vijayawada for decades because they felt Hyd being the capital of the entire state belongs to all. Its completely selfish and greedy of these Telangana rowdies to demand a state now as Andhra/Seema region wont get revenue from the development in Hyderabad in the future. There will be water sharing problems like Cauvery issue among many other issues that these T idiots cant wrap their heads around. It was Chandrababu Naidu, who is from Rayalaseema region who put a lot of effort in making Hyd an IT center and investments from Andhra NRIs and Andhra businessmen and students from Andhra region who created job opportunities. Back in 90s, whole of Hyd was basically like Old City populated by lazy and dumb Telangana losers and it would have remained so if not for Andhra people.

"Laid-back" was the word you were looking for, which can be found in the batting masterclass of Azhar and Laxman. No need to get personal. Keep it clean. Hyderabad was 5th biggest city in 1956 and has maintained it's position. It has progressed equally alongside other cities. Nothing less, nothing more. Obviously people from all over the state have contributed like in the case of every state.
