All this is result of incompetence and corruption. This country needs some dynamic leadership by passionate, energetic and relatively young leaders who have proven track records and Narendra Modi perfectly fits the bill.
the congress supporters in icf have not posted a single post here but this post will make a lot of them eager to post now :giggle:

Too much joy in this thread. Is this thread about indian economy not doing well or pakistan losing the world cup finals?
People are only talking on the reality of current state of affairs about Indian leadership and economics. Please do not try to mock fellow posters by such posts.

Its so silly its funny in some ways :desiman: CAD has been going up since so many years especially since the 2008 crisis and we're continuing with business as usual with a token measure here and there. I wonder if a big measure like selling the tons of gold we bought earlier or some of the forex reserves can help. Even that would be short term, we haven't worked on anything sustainable for CAD since whenever.

As I said' date=' the issues for keyboard warriors and the media are different from the issues that we are facing on the ground. [b']This is a crisis situation, make no mistake about it.
I may be wrong here but IMO its a crisis situation more for the urban people (a large number of which may be BJP supporters) and a large number of them still won't go out to vote on election day while for the rural people the Food Security Bill and the Direct Cash Transfer schemes will be enough to make them vote for the Kaangress again.

Well yes, thats true on the ruppee front. But that was not the only aspect I was talking about. BUt have to agree with you. I still think, it will be a hung assembly, with BJP emerging as largest party.

Watch - The rise and fall of India's economy featuring Arun Shourie and Ruchir Sharma(author of 'The breakout nation') with Pranoy Roy.

That reminds me of the Hindu rate of growth' date=' guess we're back to where we started :isalute:[/quote'] Thats right. Some economist feel the current 5% growth rate is not really the bottom, the growth rate will be down to 3% (the so-called Hindu growth rate).
