In upcoming odis johnson is gonna bowl 95 mph with new cherry. Fast and short. Express bowling. Intimidating Dhawan is opening the batting. We are going to find out a lot about Dhawan in next week or so. Can he handle the pace???? Will give big indication to how he will handle our tour to SA and further upcoming overseas tours.

Dhawan can handle it, raina, yuvraj,r sharma ( to some extent ),kohli not good enough players of short bowling .if india bat 2nd in jaipur too then 2-0 to AUSTRALIA .dhoni should bat first against this team

Dhoni can handle pace but not movement.
Yup he was bowled by what a 125kph delivery yesterday? P.S After seeing the way some of the clowns played fast bowling yesterday, I am open to giving Pujara a chance. You need a consolidator in the team.

Only Raina struggles a bit against the short ball and even has improved a lot recently. Other batsmen in the lineup are good against bouncers. Just fyi, when a bowler bowls at 150 kph and pitches short and gets bounce, no batsman in the world will find it comfortable.

I think both Dhawan and Vijay are better than Gambhir.
Yes, Gambhir was out of sorts against 140Ks and any kind of movement. Gambhir should play half the season before SA tour.

Pujara deserves a chance in every ODI series. We need a few batsmen who can play good quality bowling or on a tough pitch. In this lineup Kohli, Rohit and Dhoni can play pace. Pujara will increase that number. We don't know about this aspect of Dhawan. We should not forget that no batsman in the world is truly comfortable against somebody bowling 150 to 154 k. It is not just Indian batsmen.

I do know Dhoni even sent Ashwin to face Johnson cause he wanted to avoid him in an IPL game. Not trolling anybody or trying to mock CSK fans, but I lost a lot of respect for Dhoni on that day. Still rate MSD as a player, but the halo has slipped. People like Sachin for eg never shy away from the situation. Sachin always opened.

Express bowling, yeah get pujara in. To be honest jury is out wether he can handle it as well:cantstop: In SA last time had a mare. Some say his low hands will cause him problems, although never hindered VVS Saying that I think he can. But am not putting any money on it In tests the two who I think would be able to handle pace and bounce the best looking at their techniques and evidence so far are Kohli and Rohit Raina, Yuvi and Dhoni are lost causes Jadeja no chance Jury out on Dhawan and Pujara The next 12 months is the most fascinating in decades for indian fans to see which out of brand new team is the real deal and who was just a false dawn

As far as Dhawan goes, I dont think we will learn anything. Seemed to handle the SAffers and Englishmen in the champions trophy extremely well. Even the Windies. Roach was bowling 90 plus at the Oval

Maybe he will do ok. Hope so, In CT took on the pace with upper cuts, it worked. Maybe MJ will be uppercut in to stands

Its more of a question of which MJ turns up. A good MJ is unplayable by even the best. A bad MJ is as bad as Ishant Sharma. He was excellent for Mumbai in the IPL. In the champions league he was poor. The real question if MJ can sustain his good form through a 7 match series. In the recent series in England for the ODIs he had well established players like Trott and KP all over the place.
