Reaction from proteas Forget about Loins and other stuff. this was not a choke although their selection and bowling choices were very odd.
I understand from the definition of "choke" perspective. I think they look at from a different perspective. They look at like SA does not raise their game a notch in the knockout games. Champion teams raise their game, overcome adversity and win such games. Even though they put up a decent team they ended up witnessing another sorry exit from an ICC event.

This game reminds me of the West Indies vs South Africa quater final of 1996 world cup. South Africa looking good in the touranment approaching the playoffs and then hit by a masterclass innings of Brian Lara which provides them the knock out punch. Similar happend here. Kohli gave them that knock out punch. http://www.espncricinfo.com/ci/engine/current/match/65188.html
This time they had several tough games to prepare themselves . Against Dutch Tahir saved them. Against NZ Steyn saved them. They were battle hardened when they met India. India was the one who was short real batting practice.

You are right in a way. They never look invincible this time. Probably in the past, with worst results, they have performed better in the tournaments overall. This time, they never went in as favourites too.

No matter what happens in the final,still a great resume for MS in this format despite 3 first round exits.... but will he do the honorable thing and step down from atleast from T20 with his head held high? It would definetely come across as leeching on if he hangs on after this. As a player he is useless in this format anyways
Who cares whether he is hanging on to tonty tonty or not when he has been leeching on in tests for about 2 years now?

Hey dude before you type rubbish Paki's remember once upon a time we were rivaling India. While your team was stuck in minnow land. The same team you can only wish to beat in the finals. Because Virat Kohli will shave Malingas hair with his shots.
:haha::haha:

He was bowling yorkers in final over and speedgun reads high for full deliveries. He is still a trundler and I would want Shami /Aaron back.
He hit 140 in first over too. Thing with Mohit is he always tries to bowl quick with full effort and this trait of him will always help him increase his pace. But all our pacers who hit 140 are short that is a downside.

They were certainly underdogs today.
That is why they should have done better. No pressure of expectations. So basically they are carrying bad memories from previous knockouts.
