If the wickets there will be like they have been for the past 3 years, we have a real good chance ... But if they get grass like there was in late 90s ... then we might even lose in New Zealand.

I am sure NZ will do well against us. We should do good there too, but it won't be an easy series like people think it would be.

Though if Zaheer remains fit, I will still think he is our trump card, but it will be nice to see Shami prevail as he is young and can be our spearhead for future.

But regardless of the pitch, it's going to be some hard fought cricket. We play odi's before, so their team and ours both will be fully ready for test.

ShebbySB Posted December 20, 2013 Posted December 20, 2013 We have the talent to do well but the imp thing is our pace bowling dept.Fitness of Zak is imp,he can guide our young bowlers.I'd like to see Shami,Umesh,Ishant that we're watching right now & Aaron.BK is a decent back up but then again lacks pace though he can be deadly in Eng & NZ.Not so much in Aus.He'll not get any chance in this test series.So don't know if he'll be dropped but I really want Zak,Shami,Umesh, Ishant & Aaron fit & in the test squad.If anyone gets injured BK & Pandey will be decent back ups in the squad.

Zak is the experienced leftie with skill who makes a huge diff in the team.Shami is a complete package with pace,skill,accuracy,Ishant in rhythm is sharp & extracts steep bounce with his height(hit the deck bowler),Umesh has raw pace & striking ability,Aaron is fast with good amount of accuracy who can seam the new ball & reverse the old one,BK is a genuine swing bowler at around 130-135 ks,Pandey is an accurate workhorse who can keep it tight & bowls around mid 130s.We've all the spices,need a good cook to make a delicious dish.
