Why do we need to save him ? he has been a flop show since ages. I believe he has been given enough chances, if he ever want to comeback he is most welcome to do so but solely on performances. He was looking so dejected whenever Shami claimed wickets in the last test match, that shows his attitude.

The main thing he needs to do is learn how to swing and seam the ball. He does not move the ball at all. Thus is ieffective. He may not be able to learn. He must develop a stock ball, which either moves away from batsman or comes in, at the moment gun barrel straight. From there he may then be able to reverese it anoyther thing he cant do. Tino Best is much quicker but also has same problem. Cant move the ball (no stock ball that shapes)and cant reverse it

Not a bad time for Ishant to go back to Delhi Ranji squad. Two seniors' date=' one hurting badly and wanting to regain hi India spot, other perhaps a little nonchalant but still hopeful. [b']Nehra also around to guide him. He will not feel totally lost in the system away from national squad. He should aim to play a couple of full seasons of FC cricket, sort out the technical issues with his bowling , take plenty of wickets which he has always done in domestic FC cricket and then comeback at around 27, maybe before the 2015 WC. 25 can never be the age for a fast bowler's career to end.

He has had an abundant time to correct his mistakes and establish himself as a great bowler after he showed so much promise in 2008. One thing that was so telling for me is how insecure he looked when Shami was setting the world on fire against the WI batting lineup. He should have been saying "what happened to my bowling? what am I doing wrong?" back in 2009-10 itself. I don't think he even took his bowling seriously and believed that he was irreplaceable.

Partly true but he is a hard worker, the coach, capt simply did not send a message early enough, he was just being selected on his physical attributes then anything else, he simply decided to cut his pace and stopped growing , a bowler should try his best all the time, take wickets, he just thought he is fulfilling his role of keeping runs down lol in tests, stock bowler in test and first change in odi with no accountability, he is as much to blame as selectors, coach, capt

I have heard he works hard but is not very smart. Maybe he needs sometime building up his body and add some extra pace - thats the only way I see him come back in reckoning.
