Really looking forward to RSA and NZ tours to see if the new brigade can handle away conditions. Dhawan - Can match Sehwag's strike rate but has tighter defense and higher IQ. Pujara - Dravid like hunger but doesn't get bogged down. Kohli - Great temperament and equally good on/off side player. Enjoys pressure. Rohit - Excellent timer like Laxman but can also play big hits. Wonderful start to his test career. Not sold on M.Vijay or Rahane either. Dhoni and Ashwin will need to average at-least 25 runs per innings. India will be very competitive in RSA and NZ if batsmen can put 350+ in first innings on the board. Shami's emergence is encouraging as Ishant Sharma continues to stink up the scene after so much international experience.

Pujara, Kohli, Rohit, Rahane look world-class. I still can't forget Rahane's debut, he just needs the confidence back like Rohit to start performing consistently.

we never had good starts in south africa in our history..expecting rookies to do well is nothing but false hope even pujara will be sitting duck if steyn is in rhythm cos even dravid at 3 struggled.. its lower order who has to score heavily imo

Attitude, hardwork, humility all these things have to go hand in hand to be a successful player. Having seen how legends like Dravid/Tendulkar prepare themselves, they would have fairly got the idea. Also despite being a sucky batsman in certain conditions Dhoni will make sure there are not ego clashes which is what i am worried about.

I am excited about ODI series in SA. We have never won there an ODI series, this team is looking good to do that. Will get fecked in tests, no hope.

I don't mind if they eat whole batting line up. It will only make them better players for coming matches. No if they fail, I won't call them FTB. They would fail to some good bowling and can always work themselves back to the proper way of playing against Best attack in South Africa. I know you will be itching to call them FTB. But I hope and advice you and all other fans to have some patience. This is their toughest test. Tougher than even England tour which will come later next year. Give them some chance if they don't do well before asking for their head. They are still the best in India and are the rightly chosen players.
