And who will score late order runs? Rahane is a sure failure and it's better we play 4 fast bowlers instead. Ashwin at 7 is sure to score 40-50 runs. Ashwin as opener won't last long

We really don't care. Actually it will toughen him up for upcoming away tours. Rahul dravid who was technically correct was hit many times even sachin got hit also. But the replaying the clip might have not helped BCCI's ego. He is playing for the country have to take hits like that and pay back when you have a chance with the bat of course.

What a horrible preparation leading to the 1st test of a tough series in tough conditions. Indian players do not have the technique and have had no preparation. Fecking BCCI gave the players no time to prepare; they got shellacked in the ODIs and the ONLY practice game is washed out.... The horror show and the embarrassment continues on Dec 18!!

BCCi is smart enough to know that we have no chance of drawing one test , foreget about winning. Hence they have bargained for 2 test matches , 2-0 looks far better than 4-0 :cantstop: We should do the same for England and Oz tours too..

Since this a two match series. One prac match is fine. The problem was weather you cant blame BCCI for that. I agree about ODIs but for not for tests.

2 Match or 4 mtch series we will remember it has a series loss. One practise match that to a two day affair. Bizzare planning...

I am not sure why people give up on our team so easily, Rohit, Virat, Dhawan , Pujara are serious talent and can score anywhere, BCCI is to blame for the fiasco in Odi our team has not had a single practice game on a tour against the number one test side, two test and three odi is a recipe for disaster for any team, I still believe this team under right captaincy can win or draw a test, Zak, Shami can bowl match winning spells and we have Umesh to rattle the batsmen

You have to force them to be on the defensive. If you allow them to pile up 500 runs. They will come out guns blazing.

Day 2 Post Mortem India have still done well today. They were 128-1 and getting them 6 down today even around 240 at the end of the day, should be accepted well. We might or might not get any wicket, but bowles look a bit tired today. They put lot of effort, and at times too much. I am sure we will come back hard tomorrow, fresh to get the remainign wickets. I am happy we are keeping and matching to them. THey are 203-6 with few overs left. But I will still take this or howmuch ever they score with same amount of wickets. Desperately need a batting allrounder Cant do with three pacers in overseas conditions, especially in SA/Aus, too much work load for them ..We dont have a spinner who can hold one end, Ashwin being the HTB. So we need to find a batsman who can bat at top 6 and bowl good 10-12 overs. Do we have anyone in our domestic circuit who is scoring prolific runs and can bowl seam up or good spin? Jalaj Saxena ? Rishi Dhwan?

Not really KT you r forgetting a fit Irfan with his swing is a better option then ashwin in these condition,his left arm in swing would have been handy not to forget he has played some valuable knock in tough situation for india sent from dil se

Probably rishi dhawan, we dont have anyone else. Unless Umesh sorts out his batting and learns to at least get singles We wouldnt really need one right now if our tail could survive and score risk free.
