Is MS a few notches faster than BK? MS - 134-138 range BK - 129-133 range Is this right? If both are trundlers, is BK's accuracy (at slower speed) > MS (slightly faster) IMO - 134-138 is NOT trundler. BK is more trundler than MS. (MS may be inaccurate or weaker in swing, but thats a diff topic, this is about who is "trundler"? among BK and MS)

Mohit quickest 86 mph around 138-139K, average 82 mph around 131-132K (too slow). BK quickest 84 mph around 136K, average 81 mph around 130K (too slow). Kallis was quicker than both on average speed.

Anyway selectors shud atleast select taller bounce extraction type bowlers (even if trundle speed) like Pankaj Singh or Ishwar Pandey!

Bk is bowling 3 to 4 k's slower then when he was bowling well and that pace combined to his skills made him a decent bowler, Mohit doesn't have natural pace he seems to strain himself to bowl at 134 k, I would pick a fit Pathan over these two any day as he bowls similar pace with better skills and can bat pretty well, Mohit is same league as VK was hyped a bit and also people believed Pont and in IPL he just put extra effort and bowled in low 130's, Unadkat is the most pathetic bowling at 127 k, next VK AT 129 K, bk at 131 k, Mohit at 133 k all trundlers, BK the best among them.

I think Ishwar Pandey would have made an impact in SA.He had a successful A tour earlier this season.

Pandey , Pankaj are f/m and a yard quicker last two seasons have seen Pankaj consistently bowl around 138 k ave with peak being 144 k and Pandey can average 135 and have no doubt he will bowl 133 to 140 k which is decent compared to these trundlers combined with his height and skills.

You can trust them to get the idea who bowled at what pace. If hey show BK at 81, TV speeds wont show him at 85 or 75. He will be pretty close to 81 even in TV.

That is what I meant. Average speed is what matters.

That is true in case of medium fast guys. For quicks, the ability to bowl those really quicker ones, often lead to wickets , directly or indirectly. Like Shami slipping 3 / 4 deliveries at 145/146 k, especially in tests. Cricinfo often gets this wrong. I was referring to that aspect.

Bhuvaneswar has dropped in pace. He did bowl at 135 k earlier. Now it is poor. Worse is he is bowling all over the shop. He looked like having a steady head. But i am always skeptcal about every single Indian bowler, fast, super fast, medium fast, trundler pace everyone goes off the boil in double quick time. Pace doesn't come just naturally to us. Even the medium pacers should gain pace over the years and add a bit of pace or atleast when they bowl effort ball that should touch a good speed like Munaf did in world cup semis against Pakistan. He was crossing over 140 k when he bowled with effort. Mohammad shami looks like a great prospect now because he can crank upto 145 k. I am counting days before he starts bowling at 130k. It will happen for sure. Umesh is the only guy who looks like bowling at decent pace all his life. Even that i am not 100% sure. I have seen padosis in local clubs, Their first insitnct is to bowl as fast as possible. Nothing else. India can get an express bowler only when every single bowler in India wants to bowl faster and faster. If you pick 100 top bowlers, every single bowler should want to bowl fast and gain speed every year. That is how Padosis bowl. They always love to bowl fast. If everyone tries odds are we will bump into one or two good ones. Same in Australia, SA. Kallis who is supposed to be a medium pacer, when needed can crank up above 140k. There is no exception. Picking one super fast bowler in the team won't get us anywhere. If he breaks down who will do that job. Bhuvaneswar, Shami,pankaj whoever comes in should gain speed significantly every year. You need a large pool for country like India where there will be lot more breakdowns compared to other places. In India genuine quicks have to bowl a lot more over due to flat surfaces.
