SLICKR392 Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 This is the thing which everyone says and is the difference between pujara/rohit and kohili/rahane. pujara/rohit scores big' date=' and kohili/rahane gets out by 120, in test, not in one day.[/quote'] Weird people here.
The Outsider Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 This is the thing which everyone says and is the difference between pujara/rohit and kohili/rahane. pujara/rohit scores big' date=' and kohili/rahane gets out by 120, in test, not in one day.[/quote'] Yeah, Tendulkar was batting at the other end to allow Rahane to go for a double.
saneindian Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 Fantastic knock by Rahane. Impressive to see him not let the ODI failures affect his test batting. Runs in SA and now in NZ on a tough wicket, well done As many have said may not be a bad idea to have him at 5 and Rohit at 6
virufan Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 Fantastic knock by Rahane. Impressive to see him not let the ODI failures affect his test batting. Runs in SA and now in NZ on a tough wicket, well done As many have said may not be a bad idea to have him at 5 and Rohit at 6 No Rohit pls, drop Rohit pick Rayudu
G_B_ Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 Its good to see Rahane has got a 100, thats one monkey of his back. With Rahane in ODIs IMO its not a confidence thing. He still does not know how to pace his innings. and batting at 6, i doubt many 200s he can score. Mostly he will have to bat with the tail.
Sidhoni Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 Rahane is a nervous starter when he is new at the crease. I think opposition bowlers have an excellent chance to get him out before he scores 20. Once he crosses that mark, after that he is a real pleasing player to watch. Nohit scores big? Big what? Big Andaas? (ducks) Andaa player. :hysterical:
peterparker Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 Weird people here. check it out then. Not talking about kohli's ODI performance, he is great ODI player now. In test, kohili will always struggle, especially, on that shot pitch deliveries. rahane will have same trouble.
peterparker Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 I think we all have concluded he is a tailender :giggle: but in all seriousness,Rahane himself is looking to survive, dont see him protecting the tail and playing a quick innings,Even Ashwin is better than him in that aspect Rohit showed the ability in the WI series, just saying But as I said too early to judge him,He is still raw so lets hope for the best rohit sharma played in the first test, when 4 wickets were down, for 20 something. What did others do on that day? In test, all innings are always under pressure. rahane scored a brilliant century today, no doubt in this. but he has technical glitches, and I wonder, england bowlers might sort him out.
peterparker Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 Give him 100 odi like Rohit...U can see better Record Than Rohit Sharma and more consistency.. his ODI scores are down, check the facts. rohit has scored an ODI 200
peterparker Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 Yeah' date=' Tendulkar was batting at the other end to allow Rahane to go for a double.[/quote'] ha ha ha one innings and everyone is saying that rahane is great, rohit is lame duck. what happened in first test, first innings, all the so called great fell down, including kohili, whose weakness against shot pitch got exposed. in the partnership of 50 b/w rohit and rahane, rohit had scored 38 of those, and rahane had 12, this shows that who has got more shots in the books.
Cricketics Posted July 17, 2014 Author Posted July 17, 2014 We have groomed the right man. He is here to stay. Just like Kohli, he has impressed us everywhere so far including the South Africa tour.
vvvslaxman Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 He is a fighter' date='I will give him that but not the ideal replacement for Laxman[/quote'] :giggle:
zep1706 Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 :giggle: IMO Rahane is technically better than Laxman. Laxman always had problem against the moving ball. He played bounce pretty well though.
Laaloo Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 We have groomed the right man. He is here to stay. Just like Kohli' date=' he has impressed us everywhere so far including the South Africa tour.[/quote'] Kohli hasnt impressed me for this tour. And his fielding is awful. Missed run outs, dropped catches. It will take a lot more to remove me from AVKC.
ThePhenomenal1 Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 gorgeous 100. pure class, stepped up on a green wicket. Hats off Rahane! And dont forget kumar!
ThePhenomenal1 Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 has scored runs everywhere he has played. one to stay. thats the difference between him and rohit. rahane even scores in odis lol glad rahane got runs at 5 cause 6 was where he scored everywhere else
Old guy Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 IMO Rahane is technically better than Laxman. Laxman always had problem against the moving ball. He played bounce pretty well though. i agree :agree: but he is being compared to laxman because of how great and valuable his innings are
Cricketics Posted July 17, 2014 Author Posted July 17, 2014 Kohli hasnt impressed me for this tour. And his fielding is awful. Missed run outs, dropped catches. It will take a lot more to remove me from AVKC. You guys just live in the Rohit Sharma cottage apartment who are hard to please. So I couldn't care less about some of you kind of folks. Kohli has numbers to show that he is better player than most in the world against some of the best bowlers. He scored against Steyn and co. Who are better an Anderson and co.
vvvslaxman Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 i agree :agree: but he is being compared to laxman because of how great and valuable his innings are No.. idea of maniac was to make a case for Rohti sharma saying he is our future Laxman :hysterical: Actually Ashwin is a lot closer to Ashwin than Rohit sharma
