I remember a talk show where Tendulkar was asked once that what quality he likes from other fellow Indian batsman which he would love to have. He said "Dravid's patience and defense" I think Kohli can take something from that reply and work on it. He has been very patient in this series by leaving lot of balls, and I hope he continues to do so. He has a good defense against seamers. Look's rock solid at times, but still needs lot of work on his defense. It will come really handy in South Africa where Siddle and Johnson will be bowling lot of that line which will need good defense.

Rohit is surrounded by fine technically sound players. So he should be able to improve. Against right hand bowlers he was dismissed 67 times out of which 23 times leg before or bowled. Not sure about stats for others. But he looks like he often plays down the wrong line.

Kohli reads and attacks the spinner best in probably whole world right now. His ability to play cover drives and read the spin is probably the best. Pujara on other hand is rock solid against spin. He won't give his wicket that easily like Kohli might after being too attacking to spinner. Kohli is kind of like Gambhir who looks really comfortable playing spin and will play some risky shots and will find boundaries with ease, but might also throw away his wicket. Pujara plays with great caution and he leaves the ball more and hits mainly half volleys of spinner.

Lol against spin no one in world plays as well as pujara.. What about innings in Delhi Turner against Australia? Kohli has to improve too he is much better striker against spinners but seen him struggle in tests so many times already...

Dudes no one in world plays against spin more aggressively that pujara he is ruthless and attacks them for fun after setting in... Just cos he does not plays shots in air does not change the fact that pujara has better strike rate in tests than Kohli even in last inning pujara has similar or better strike rate ;)

Having seen him lazily miss the line of the ball. My question is if the ball misses the bat it should hit his pad not stumps. If the ball is coming in he has to keep his bat/pad together. Bat should not be hanging in the air .

I think rohit is a very slow learner, he took very long to come good in odi's. So just have to give him more chance in tests. He has a test avg of 151 now then why drop him? He is a lot better than this rayadu, rahane guyz. Will come good in next test.

When the ball is coming in u do not just plant your front foot it will just be plumb l.b.w.Initially ur feet do not move as well also and rohit is diff type of player .
