He was merely a supporting batsman for couple fo matches. Also Gambhir was the best player of the series for India. So attributing CB series win to Rohit idoesn't make sense. He played his part. But it is no bigger than some of the other guys.

His 50 against sa was vital as was the quick runs in the end vs pak in final overall Yes but saying he has done nothing except against wi is also not fair.

You need a bit of consistency. His overall average is what matters. Rightnow he is going through a good patch. That is after over 90 international matches. That too in home conditions. I don't want him to be dropped . But putting him on a pedestal is such a joke.

Sorry man. Kohli earned it. His game is a lot more secure. In one dayers he is already a veteran. On his way to become a legend. Rohit is neither.

Kohli recently had a average series against same WI spinners in india.He may be a great odi player but his test game needs work on .He has all the attributes but comaprison is far too early in test arena.

Don't mind his below par game in India as long as he does his thing abroad. We have lot of FTBs at home. It is not like Kohli was an abject failure. Scored a crucial 100 against Australia. Also a great fighting 100 against England.

Kohli's consistency is probably one of the greatest in ODI history let alone Indian history. How would you rate Rohit's consistency? Kohli has been in top 10 ICC rankings for the last 3 years. IN addition his unbelievable composure while chasing any big totals puts him in a different league. He is something very very special. That is not even a hype. That is just a statement. If you say the same about Rohit that is hype obviously. He doesn't even know where his off stump is.

I think in terms of sheer talent the only guy who matches to Rohit is Kohli.....There is a reason why Border,Chanderpaul and to some extent Dravid are underrated because not enough Flair-Chepu may fall in that category
