shortbread Posted December 28, 2013 Posted December 28, 2013 The problem is he is providing no purpose!! This will simply increase the load on the remaining 3 bowlers. SA has a long tail. We should have played 5 bowlers.
Sidhoni Posted December 28, 2013 Posted December 28, 2013 No doubt he is looking very ordinary right now and that also makes me sad as a fan. But for all he has given us over the years, surely deserves another run in NZ. Our young bowlers also need him to show he way.
Zanjeer Posted December 28, 2013 Author Posted December 28, 2013 No effort whatsoever...he should retire with respect..
express bowling Posted December 28, 2013 Posted December 28, 2013 Missing Umesh on this track where some extra pace and aggression seem to the only things that are working. That is why I am always in favour of including a genuine quick. Adds a different line of attack when the ball is not swinging, seaming or spinning much.
MCcricket Posted December 28, 2013 Posted December 28, 2013 If selectors pick him up for the next series I will be pissed, Zak needs to go as he is finished, draft Aaron, Pankaj, Pandey for the next tour
putrevus Posted December 28, 2013 Posted December 28, 2013 Zak should retire during the test and set precedence for inept bowlers.
Lord Posted December 28, 2013 Posted December 28, 2013 No doubt he is looking very ordinary right now and that also makes me sad as a fan. But for all he has given us over the years' date=' surely deserves another run in NZ. Our young bowlers also need him to show he way.[/quote'] can only pick him if we r playin 5 bowlers imo
ravishingravi Posted December 28, 2013 Posted December 28, 2013 I see that wrist slitting that is at par with Padosi forum these days 1) He is 35 yrs old 2) Coming back from injuries 3) Not played at top level for some time 4) Just was on the field for 6 sessions. That could take something out of any bowler with any fitness 5) Always had fitness issues. Always 6) You don't have much options. Certainly in terms of quality and experience. Umesh will replace Ishant 7) Bowlers need to be groomed. Next 1 year we will see them develop. Zaheer has to be there to groom them
Zanjeer Posted December 28, 2013 Author Posted December 28, 2013 Sad ending to a great bowler⚾⚾⚾⚾...its ⏰ he retires ⤵ from international cricket.

No need to carry a passenger in the team and if he is in the 15, he will play. That's what happens with Indian cricket. They never drop a senior player. And what's with no replacements? Lol. Pankaj, suyal, varun can replace him as he is putting no effort whatsoever. At least they can bowl their heart out and give their best. If he can't perform, he should be dropped. Its as simple as that. He is 35 year old man. Its extremely hard for a fast bowler to perform at 35.
jatinder Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 maybe time come for zaheer khan to Retire .maybe bowling coach world cup 2012.
Zanjeer Posted December 29, 2013 Author Posted December 29, 2013 Surprising zak hitting 133-134 today. Wonder why he couldn't do it yesterday. ❕❕❕..it also brings out the question, can India afford to rest a bowler a whole day without bowling, so that he would be little better the next day. He was literally hitting 125ks yesterday. Lol..and if people say that he is 35 year old and he needs that much rest, well, the selection should always based on the performance rather than the reputation.
helperononline Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 bowling 135k delivery to tail enders :wall:
Zanjeer Posted December 29, 2013 Author Posted December 29, 2013 bowling 135k delivery to tail enders :wall: slowed down after 3 overs. Couldn't hit 132...:((
King Tendulkar Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 bowling 135k delivery to tail enders :wall: Still quicker then BK then:giggle:
pindxb Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 Is looking at 100 tests ? That's still 10 tests away. So Indian bowling will be less effective than it could be for 10 more tests. For all that hype around his workout regime in Europe, all he managed to do was to get himself ready for some modelling assignments.
puneet28 Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 It common perception of Indian players. Don't know if he has different ideas.
