BeautifulGame
Probably our 2 biggest chances of winning series in Aus and SA squandered in last 20 years. Which Draw was more disappointing. Sydney 2004 Jo'burg 2013 Link to comment
I6MTW
Both were equally upsetting. Link to comment
I6MTW
It rained during the beginning of day 5 in Sydney. Reduced out chances for sure. Link to comment
Ram
Jo’burg cannot be called as a ‘chance to win’ in Aus/SAF. Even if we had won, SAF still had a chance to come back and level the series (which they probably would have, seeing the way we played in Durban) Sydney 2004 was a genuine heart-break. We were 1-1, going into day 5 and there was a real chance to winning that series. But to be fair to the Aussies, they drew it comfortably in the end. Link to comment
Ram
However, nothing can match the incredibly depressing 4th innings collapse in Barbados. That has to be worst near-win abroad defeat of all time. Link to comment
ThePhenomenal1
some reason we fail to cross the line and win. either its ours bowlers or batsmen. Link to comment

Tailender
jo'burg wasn't an escape for South Africa... it was a really really lucky escape for India Link to comment
cricketpitch
jo'burg wasn't an escape for South Africa... it was a really really lucky escape for India Nope Jo'Burg was actually a lucky escape for SA. Indian bowling was not able to drive home the advantage. With a target of 458, any team should be expected to win or draw with comfort. The Indian bowling surely struggled in the second innings which helped SA to get close. Link to comment

That's called skill and determination - credit should be given where it's due. Saffers showed why they are number 1. Link to comment
