It happens man, stress on the back. Pattison was injured in summer ashes if i recall correctly. They get better each time though, so fingers crossed.

Binny is the most exciting selection of recent times.........................NOT D u n g selection this.... R Dhawan and Nayar are better 'all rounders' than this motu in all regards. We don't need any more power in our odi line-up anyways... there's plenty of power in Dhawan, rODIt, Project Raina, Dhobi, Kohli, etc On a positive note, there are a few exciting selections provided dhobi picks the strongest 11 in normal cricketing sense and not his ultra analytical faltu logic

Is that So??? has he been picked just too early??

Is that So??? has he been picked just too early?? He has already bowled 150 overs in domestic cricket and selectors must have seen him against Mumbai at Wankhede though picked. I do not think he will play in NZ if he is not fit.

vishalvirsingh Posted January 2, 2014 Posted January 2, 2014 Everybody was calling Zak back to full fitness but I was sure that he is not at his best.. after first test first innings his average bowling speed went down from 135 to 128 and that made him totally ineffective,though Zak is shrewd like a clever fox. .probably foxier than Steyn... I bet had he bowled around 135 to 140 he wud have got faf divilliers in second innings... indian pacers trundled in second innings so failed....it ws Zak Ishant failure that we didnt win... on top of it Ashwin was at his worst

vishalvirsingh Posted January 2, 2014 Posted January 2, 2014 Selectors have done a gggggggrrrreaaattt job but if dhoni picks 4 bowlers and in that also 3 pacers on a fast track and a spinner.....then selectors cant help. if its a fast track plat 4 fast bowlers, dont play zak and even Ishant unless he is in full rhythm.

FischerTal Posted January 2, 2014 Posted January 2, 2014 i think pandey will replace ishant in tests. selectors most probably want to give zak a longer run, so most likely bowling attack will be shami+pandey+zak for NZ. have to feel sad for umesh though
