We don't have too much time left before the WC,1 year to be precise so whatever we've to do we should do it quickly.We should play Jadeja as a specialist bowler at no. 8,play Aaron as much as we can,bring in Pujara & Kedar,drop Raina & Ishant & last but not the least test Pandey,Dhawal & Rahul Shukla as back up options for BK,Shami & Aaron.I'll not play Umesh in LOIs & use him in tests.Ishant should be out of the team & play FC along with county if possible.If Ashwin continues to fail I'll bring in Rahul Sharma/Nadeem in the squad to replace him.I think we need a hitter who can bowl 10 overs consistently at no.7 & Rasool/Rishi should get chances there & play according to the condition.

India vs NZ, 3rd ODI : PreDiscussion Dhoni will answer all his foul mouth critics tomorrow. Too much anti Dhoni sentiments going on this forum currently which is pathetic. He is our most successful captain and have given us all the trophies possible in ODI's and made us ranked 1 side in tests. Its really tough to understand the hate against him :headshake: I remember similar feeling was going on about Dhoni during 2011 WC when he was not going good with the bat. He shut his critics in the final and gave a tight slap on the face by lifting the MoM and World cup trophy. I can expect a similar response by our greatest Kuptaan sahab to all the haters tomorrow:finger:

Well, That's what Indian Cricket is. If someone plays bad the people's reaction - He shouldn't play again in the team. :finger: :protest: If The same plays well - Oh!! he is such a great batsmen/bowler. :WTF: Currently this is going on with I. Sharma and Dhoni

Rohit, Kohli, Dhoni play the short ball well. Dhawan looks comfortable sometimes playing the hook and pull but sometimes gets into bad position and gets out. He needs to work on that. Trying to score off the short delivery always has an element of risk. Just because you get out on a short delivery, doesn't necessarily mean you are not good at playing it. Raina and Jadeja though are hopeless. I think Ashwin is a way better player of short deliveries than Raina because of his height and also because he plays pace well. It wouldn't be a bad idea to send him up the order. He doesn't have a great average in ODIs but he has always batted way down the order and had to hit out in death. He has an average of 40 in tests after all, so batting at 6 could get more out of him as a batsman.
Agree with all the points. Would like to add that Rahane and Pujara have been good against the short ball also. Kohli, Rahane, Pujara, Dhoni and Rohit are all good against short pitched stuff, Kohli being the best. Raina has huge problems. Just because someone gets out to a short delivery does not mean he has problems against it.

'We're not going to be nice to them' - McClenaghan

After taking four wickets to consign India to defeat in Napier, Mitchell McClenaghan has carried on with the same aggressive form off the field. Not only was McClenaghan at India with the ball, he was also in Rohit Sharma's face just before he hooked McClenaghan straight to long leg. McClenaghan said there wasn't going to be a let-up. "These guys are good players but at no point are we going to back away from a fight," McClenaghan told Fairfax NZ News. "We're not going to be nice to them, we're going to get in their face and let them know that we're here and we're going to put our mark on the build-up to the World Cup." McClenaghan's most crucial strike was when he came back to dismiss MS Dhoni with a sharp bouncer to trigger a collapse that brought New Zealand back into a match that was fast slipping out of their hands. He said the short ball was an important part of his plan against India. "When they [india] go to Aussie they get bombed," McClenaghan said. "It's something we've got with our attack, we've got guys who can bowl good bouncers. We know there's a few of their guys who like to hook compulsively. It's about picking and choosing the times that we use it and the grounds we use it on because they all have different dimensions. We'll just have to be really smart about the lines we use it on." Dhoni has spoken about the need to play the shots to the short balls because you can't keep leaving alone two balls per over. Virat Kohli, who negotiated the bouncer well in South Africa and in Napier, has said that it is important to at least get into positions to play the bouncer so that you watch the ball more closely, and leave them better should the need be. However, the bouncer always becomes an issue when India go out of Asia because some of the others are not as good at facing them. McClenaghan said this series against India is massively important for them, not just because India are the No. 1 side in the world, but also because this is the World Cup year. "It's a huge series against one of the best sides in the world," McClenaghan said. "Leading into a World Cup in our backyard we want to have consistency. This is our best team that we can put out on the park. Hopefully we can let everyone know around the world that in our own backyard on our grounds and our decks, we're not to be taken lightly come 2015."
