shortbread Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 The pacers, literally all of them would struggle to get into any other international side. Its just depressing watching them bowl. In the modern day game one has to bowl the right channel from the first ball, but with India the plan seems to be that the batsman needs to hit a boundary every over. as is already proven India wont be able to survive on its batting strength alone and I dont think there is a single pacer in the country we can count on at the moment. Sad really!!
kubrickian Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 The concern for me is that Bhuvi used to get early wickets in his spell but now it seems he is not able to do that plus he is not getting any swing as well.Shami while he is getting wickets is now going for too many runs I just hope somehow they are managed and they dont fade away and become useless trundlers. Shami needs a break.
vvvslaxman Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 Why didn't he say this when Ishant was playing? That is when it would have made more sense.
Lord Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 And spinners too' date='Rayudu should have used the doosra more often[/quote'] :hysterical::hysterical:
Switchblade Posted January 28, 2014 Author Posted January 28, 2014 :hysterical::hysterical: But yar uska bowling action bada mast tha :hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical:
Scarves Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 I seriously do wonder. what is the educational level of Indian bowlers. I do know for example Srinath and Zaheer did have college degrees. Dhoni doesn't have faith in them. The way of South Africa, Australia and England is bowl at the right lengths, bowl to our own tempo and stay fit. If your captain and team doesn't have faith in you then you can't expect the bowlers to do much. Also they are kind of crap as well.
vvvslaxman Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 Settin fields, telling what ball to bowl should be done away with for a while. He should let the bowlers decide all those things for a while. Moment i saw "back of the length ball after back of the length ball" i knew there was something wrong. Dhoni has asked these guys to ape New zealand bowlers. Only thing he failed to take into account was we are not hit the deck kind of bowlers. Also on this slow pitch it sat up nicely for cutting and pulling. Even in the last match for inexplicable reasons our bowlers bowled half way down rather than full up even in death overs.
Lord Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 But yar uska bowling action bada mast tha :hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical: haan:hysterical::hysterical: I was cursing Dhoni n laughing at same time
bihutoli Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 Not that I disagree with him today, but funny he has harsh words for our pacers once Ishant is out of the playing eleven. Till a few days back it was all 'Our bowlers are doing a fine job, the pitch however bla bla bla.'
maniac Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 By The time we find the next Half-decent seam bowler,Shami will be on the way down and the cycle continues.
div Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 our pace bowlers are mediocre..they should at least try to improve their fielding and batting.
BlueBee Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 Spinners bowled well?????? No wickets!! wake up Dhoni
div Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 Our fast bowlers took wickets here too' date=' but spinners could not give those breakthroughs. Even today at 60 odd for 2, would easily have been 100 for 4 if spinners had taken a wicket each. Same happened in the first match as well.[/quote'] but even Nathan McCullum is not a wicket taker.
vvvslaxman Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 "Back at home we talk about pace and bounce. We get bowlers who can bowl quick but they end up giving more runs without even bowling at the slog. So we have to find a fair balance. what can we infer from this?
