Where is he nowadays? He was excellent in Australian conditions last time taking wickets and putting other teams into pressure. Right now none of the bowlers seems like taking a wicket and without wickets other teams will score pile of runs after 30 overs. I believe he still got in him to be successful in first spell.

Isn't BK the new and improved version of PK?
No he isn't .Praveen Kumar bowled a fuller length and had good outswinger as well as inswinger. He did not develop and was bogged by injuries and attitude.

He and Dhawal Kulkarni are at the NCA ' date=' undergoing rehabilitation post injury.[/quote'] You mean undergoing further pace reduction, PK would now be seen as a spinner :((

Shami seems to be an exception to this rule but he too has been wayward off late and has looked tired.

People in India think they are 125-130, so they must be accurate. :giggle: Accuracy and pace have nothing to do with each other. You are inaccurate not because you are bowling fast but because there is something wrong in your action or approach which is leading to inaccuracy. An inaccurate genuine fast bowler wont become accurate even if he starts bowling 125-130 if there is some issue in his action like Ishant who is now bowling 130 but still inaccurate and every 125-130 bowler does not bowl 130 by choice but by limitations because 130 is what he can bowl even at his maximum effort.

They are just not capable of bowling an accurate and persistent line and length at 140k. This is where I have been impressed by Shami and that's why I think he should be given a break every once in a while to keep him fresh.

A 125 kph trundler being thrashed or a 145 kph thunderbolt bowler spraying it and being smashed :--D

If someone can bowl quick, it means he has fast twitch fibers which is giving him pace. IF some one does not have, he wont bowl even if he wants. We should not be confused and selective about pace and accuracy. Both should come together. Why do we need to go an easy way and choose a slow bowler for his little bit more accuracy and not try and make a quick bowler bowl with better accuracy. We should not replace pace by accuracy rather have accuracy at pace. We employ coaches for that. What is coach's job if not this?

You mean undergoing further pace reduction' date=' PK would now be seen as a spinner :(([/quote'] Yes, another injury to him will mean higher probability of lesser bowling speed. At his pace he cannot afford to err on line and length.Problem is neither our 130 kph nor our 140+ kph bowlers can bowl with control on line and length. I think PK was at his best on India's tour of England. Swing is what he used well to pick wickets. In absence of swing his bowling offers nothing.
