Same reason why they never really called out for Sachin's retirement or Ganguly ' sacking . I can only see media calling for Dhoni's head if we do disastrously in the 2015 WC . They always go with the tide.

Every match tendulkar failed he was told to retire and when we lost ganguly was sacked by media.The one thing the moron,idiot,shameless,sadist dhoni is popular is srini and thats why he stays.

Always Indian media adored just like the fans. Only time I remember him getting criticism was after our 2007 WC loss. I certainly didnt see any media going heavily after him during his lean period last 2 years (mild criticism may be) or wanting him to retire. And if anyone think majority Indian cricket fans wanted Sachin to retire then they are deluding themselves

Karan for Ashwin is no brainer. Umesh for Mohit is easy too. Ojha for Dhoni is easy too. That is 3 out of 4 and India wont miss these guys.

Last overseas ODI series in NZ, Ashwin averaged 219.

Jaadu - Good LOI player Mohit - Yadav should replace him Vijay - Uthappa should pplay ahead of him, but this is not the first time a good test series favors a non ODI player for ODI series that follows.
