India was down 0-1 in the 3 match series and were on the verge of losing the match and series. Worst NZ could go was a drawn series. 2. Aus team India faced had 2 ATGs in McGrath and Warne and even the other bowlers (Gillespie & Kasper IIRC) were pretty good. NZ faced Indian bowling who all together are not fit to lace McGrath's shoes. But yeah it will definitely be in the Top 3 comebacks of all times if NZ can somehow win the match.

In Tests we can't finish teams off and the main reason for that is lack of bowling firepower and wkt taking bowlers.

One thing I've learnt during the last 2 years is that Indian cricket suffers from a lack of integrity or accountability whatsoever. It's truly shocking to see that the players have no remorse for the thrashings. There is a lack of willingness from the players to man up to their mistakes. I think the whole structure is dysfunctional.

rajmarie Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 The last 3 years.....Indian Test team have gone downhill at a fast rate...specially when playing away from home (at home also its not that better). IMO the Indian team and its management needs to be properly looked at....and changes needs to be made. This thought of continuality has damaged the team a great deal. Some people needs to be sent packing. Or...India needs to stop playing outside. Just play 6 months of IPL following by some home series. Its freaking depressing to see this team at such a great level of mediocrity yet the players and management walk around like nothing has happened & that somehow they will be there again & again to show off the same level or improve that mediocrity. Just hoping that NZ bowling cut through our freaking batting lineup to show that its not patta wicket that is hurting. BS Bedi once said that something like that the team should be droped into the Pacific Ocean. I think its time to do that.
