Switchblade
Fletcher is on a perrmanent holiday anyway prior to retirement Bishan Singh Bedi has gone one step further, saying Fletcher has no connect with the team and doesn't care if India wins or loses. He is a mercenary. Another left-arm spinner, Maninder Singh, feels: "We still have almost a year to go for the World Cup. We need someone dynamic who can take tough calls." Problem is even if some one dynamic comes in as coach he'll have to be a yes man to Dhoni and the BCCI Link to comment
Switchblade
BCCI stands by under-fire coach Duncan Fletcher http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/sports/cricket/top-stories/BCCI-stands-by-under-fire-coach-Duncan-Fletcher/articleshow/32014800.cms The BCCI stood by under-fire coach Duncan Fletcher following a meeting in Chennai on Friday. Coming out of the meeting, BCCI secretary Sanjay Patel said: "It was a routine meeting and we support Fletcher whole-heartedly." The meeting was originally supposed to take place in Mumbai but had to be shifted to Chennai because president N Srinivasan underwent a cataract operation recently. Patel denied giving any ultimatum to Fletcher, whose contract comes up for renewal in April. In fact, in the meeting Fletcher had requested BCCI to add a trainer to the support-staff. While the Indian team left for Bangladesh for the T20 World Cup on Friday, Fletcher, along with the other coaches Joe Dawes and Trevor Penny will join them in Dhaka on Saturday. Fletcher has faced a lot of criticism of late for India's poor performance with Sunil Gavaskar saying that India needs a younger coach who has more fresh ideas to offer. :wall::wall::wall::wall::wall: Link to comment

nevada
Srini must have called Fletcher to personally thank him for being a mute witness to Dhobi's manmaani. I won't be shocked if he is reappointed as coach with "need for stability ahead of the world cup" thrown in as the reason. Link to comment

Pagalpanti
We have been absolute bull crap away under Fletcher..even in the format which India loves.. Lost 3-0 in Eng, 2-0 in SA, 4-0 in NZ  Somehow we bring our best in ICC tournaments though even if its away.. If we have a good show in T20 world cup, it could mean Fletcher will get an extension :(( Link to comment
