Gollum Posted February 28, 2015 Posted February 28, 2015 Many Pakistanis are so obsessed with Sachin, they cannot stand the fact that an Indian player has shattered so many records and is widely regarded as one of the greatest batsman of all time. The hate towards a gentleman like Sachin is nauseating. Ajmal,Moyo,Razzaq,Imran,Akhtar,Aaqib are sore losers. Real gentlemen like Zaheer Abbas,Qadir,Wasim,Inzi,Anwar,Saqlain,Mushtaq Mohd,Hanif Mohd etc are real sportsmen and appreciate good cricket regardless of nationality, you will never see these guys putting down SRT. And Shehzad is more talented than Sachin as far as taking selfies is concerned. In cricket he isn't fit to sit in the same building as the Mumbai maestro.

Sachin was a beast, the greatest of all time. Possibly not the best match-winner(compared to Ponting) however he was a genius and I am lucky to have witnessed him play. In fact we all are. What an unbelievable batsman. The sad thing is I am sure we will see a few batsman overtake his records now with the rules favouring batsman. I just hope it doesn't devalue his spectacular efforts. Back to Shehzad, Shehzad is a good option. He has a few errors but then again who doesn't? His top hand is heavy which makes it difficult for him to rotate strike, drop it and run. He gets criticised a lot but we must remember he is young. 23 years of age and he already has 10 international centuries. He already has a ton against the best bowlers of this era: Steyn, Philander, Johnson, Roach, Boult, Southee. Has a knack for hitting the fast bowlers. Has taken a liking to Cummins, Milne in the past and isn't afraid of the short ball. Lets hope he can come good.

What I think is that even with these deficiencies he has scored this many runs, imagine once he improves.

Even when I was a kid, and used to watch cricket, I used to be biased against tendulkar, and had preference for kambli. Because he also was a left handed bat. And media used to shower praise on kambli. I also used to feel that kambli has not been given enough chances, there is a bias against him, he is a victim of conspiracy, etc etc. At that time, I had little knowledge of the game of cricket. But, after watching cricket and getting an understanding, it is clear to me that sachin stands above rest. No one can even come close to him, infact, comparing other people with sachin is absolutely ridiculous. Even players of the stature of dravid,lara, the waugh brothers etc must not be compared too sachin. Sachin is indeed miles apart, there is no denial of this. All the players who crack it into their national leagues are talented, but, from here, the grains gets separated from the chaff. In fact, sachin is above all, in terms of everything. Scoring 100 centuries in two formats need some thing more than talent, and dedication too. It means brilliance. I sometimes watch his innings, especially, durban 169. That was a classy innings. kambli cannot even play that sort of innings, even in his dreams. Yes, shehzad may be talented, but, does he have that spark, brilliance in him, that he can break the records of sachin? I believe that the answer, at least, for me is a Big NO.
