At the very least the vast majority of SC/STs are not Muslims. Nothing to do with the actual topic here but a lot of converts to Christianity/Islam who belonged to SC/ST,still avail those benefits.....wonder how that works? I mean how come some Muslims fall under OBC and some don't aren't they supposed to be an alternative to the Caste system? Things are seriously fked up and congress gets blamed as they have ruled over the country 90%of the time since independence.

They avail both benefits. Its loophole but no one can do anything about it.They should provide monetary benefit like US does unlike the reservation indian government does. you should pick people based on merit not on caste.

I remember Muslim and Christian dalits demanding to be included under SC/ST but don't think anything came out of it.

I have seen 2 live examples of Christians availing SC benefits back in India....one of my friends had the SC quota despite being an out and out Christain. What makes it even worse ,his father was a high ranking police official and you know how much they make and his fees was next to nothing despite having 10 times the assets of most of the others.

I was watching lalu and he wants govt to redistribute land and wealth so I'm not too shocked at this chutiap This is not possible .redistribuition of land will create civil war in India.many states in India will declare their independence.And he is forgetting it is so called backward classes like jats which hold plenty of land.General category in India don't have much land in rura area's

They want to change to SC just for additional benefits. From what I have seen, SC tend to be the most corrupt in govt. jobs. Honest SC's are very rare. My relative is an Executive Magistrate here, he says that these SC treasury officers steal the pesnion money even from the drain cleaners.
