Team performance and BCCI's administration are two different entities, BCCI has done everything they are paying selectors and have paid for coaches. Running BCCI is dealing with lot of money and decision making which Gavaskar has no experience. The greedy tycoons you are talking about have been supporting cricket long time before there was any money in cricket since their advent BCCI went from poorest boards to the richest. Why are people pushing team's debacle and putrid performances on board not on players, coaches and selectors.

IF and IF someone is guilty, ban them for life.. but mudslinging should stop. Just because I make an allegation that a play took money from me, does not mean that the player should step down until that allegation is proved/ dis-proved. With Srini though, since he can influence what information is given to auditors, SC is right in asking him to Step down. I will bet my whole $ICF that no current capped player will be involved in any match-fixing or spot fixing. At worst they might be guilty of keeping quiet about some IPL owners misdeeds.

What misdeeds of the owners are you talking about then? At this point, the allegation is not that there was some betting involved. The supreme court would not have made such big a noise if there was only betting involved. Betting is illegal in India but not big enough for the supreme court to come down so hard on the board. Clearly what the court means by illegal activities here is fixing. And if the owners were involved in fixing of some kind, obviously players would be involved.

People seem to be confused about the concept of an interim leader. Usually an interim leader is appointed at a time of crisis. He is a non-elected person appointed by an internal or external committee. Usually an interim leader is appointed in circumstances like, the death of the current leader, leader falling ill, leader is caught breaking rules, etc. The interim leader only holds the post till the matter is cleared. Either the leader is clear of all charges and comes back to take his place, he gets better, fresh elections are held after clearing everything, etc Basically interim leader will be there only till the matter is investigated and resolved. Then fresh elections can be held and a new leader appointed (or if everything is cleared Srini will be back) Of course, till that time, there is going to be no big money deal or major decision making. They will all be on hold till the issue is resolved and investigations are complete

If the Players are involved, and i still don't think they will be, BCCI should be disbanded and all international cricket for India suspended till new national cricketing body is elected/ recognized.
