Count me in if you are willing to change the title. The guy is a hard worker, won't be surprised if he improves against the short ball
hasnt improved a bit in the 7 years so far. All I hear about him and Ishant is they are hard workers with no improvement in game to show for it

Change what? Short balls? Yuvi hasn't changed it for over a decade now and has yet won us games. So has Raina.

He still isn't comfortable with the short ball but other than that I think he has done a very good job coming in at number 5 or 6 over the last 6-7 years. He has made crucial contributions in the end many, many times but a lot of these get overlooked because of higher scores from the top order batsmen.

yes hes awesome in home games but I doubt he'll improve his technique and becom complete player now Yuvi was bit better on that i his hey days

I would say he can at least play them now in the SC as he did in recent WT20. Its more a mental thing with him though as he gets out to the fuller deliveries that come after the short balls. He also went to Aus to sort it out so he is working on it..lets hope he can overcome this.

Not comparing him to Yuvraj. Matter of fact he is more like a mini Yuvi. Yuvraj has been part of the famous Natwest game, won a WT20 and a WC, that's a far better resume than Raina but my point is Raina is easily one of our best finishers and as S=G said, its usually overshadowed by runs from the top order or well, Dhoni's last over finishes (which is not a criticism). TBH, teams haven't exploited Yuvraj's weakness against short ball as much as they have against Raina. Anyhow, since his stint with Ganguly he has been approaching the short balls better now but we will have to see about that it England.

Anyhow, since his stint with Ganguly he has been approaching the short balls better now but we will have to see about that it England.[/quote'] Yuvraj was poor but still could use his height to pull it.Raina is short so that works against him.Also Yuvraj never looked scared of it as Raina does at times,hopping on the backfoot before ball is delivered.the lack of pace in these pitches allows him to get away with it. Never questioned his usefulness as an ODI finisher,just that he couldnt take the next step.
