Pakistan lost to Zimbabwe yaar..before that Zim was not even in the test rankings! How many years performance do they consider for these rankings? Two or Three?

actually i cant fathom how india are behind pak :hmmm: pak lost 1-0 at lanka,3-0 at saf,1-1 draw vs sl and zimbabwe. compare this to india who lost 2-1 to eng,nzl 1-0,saf 1-0 but beat aus 4-0,wi 2-0,nzl 2-0. i think india certainly have the better record but then we have to remember pak were ahead of us in the rankings in july 2012 so they got a headstart

So Akhtar was right, Dhoni is the best thing happened to Indian cricket, from Pakistan's perspective. Hope he'll stay as captain of test team for many more years.

don't really know why people are blaming dhoni here. at least he was able to get india to number 1 even if only for a second for the first time during their 90 yr run at playing at test cricket. i believe india has the worst win percentage of any country in tests or something? plus i think they went close to 2 decades without winning a single test away from the sub cont or something as well. just to put that into perspective, bangladesh in their 14 yrs in test cricket have won something like 5 or 6 tests away from home. india except for the little period that they were number 1, have been utterly abysmal in test cricket. after their golden of run of sorts, they have gone back to being the whipping boys away from home. india are a failed test nation, but what dhoni did during that period was amazing. dhoni should be applauded, not criticized.
