INdia Should select HORSES for Courses and i guess INDIA Should Play 7 batsman and 4 fast bowlers because:- 1. INDIA will need Deep Batting Always specially as Murli will only eat Balls and Hardly Score runs..and if he is Unable to eat Balls then INDIA may be three to 4 down SOON...which wud mean Dhoni coming to bat very soon if INDIA has 4 fast bowlers and One Spinner...I beleive INDIA Should play 4 fast bowlers as there pitches will SWING. if it is a Swinging conditions then BHUVI is a MUST , Varun and Shammi Select themselves and I would get to PLay Ishawar Pandey Ahead of Ishant or Pankaj Singh. I remember Spinners bowling in england and they would only give away easy scoring opportunities. I would PLay even a BINNY ahead of Spinners as Spinners wud get Zero turn and then they dont Suceed.

Awana was a 138 to 144k bowler in earlier IPL's and He is ONE who has declined real FAST...i guess he is 130 to 136k now..exceptional bowl going to 138k. Kinda Unimpressive.

Kinda Unimpressive. He touched 140 this time too,but he has nothing else going for him,no swing,seam bounce or control.

India have not won a Test abroad in three years & lost away series to South Africa and New Zealand in the past six months. Hope they win this one.

S.Dhawan- his only weakness is bouncers and I beleive that He will Sort it Out..I rank him very Highly...He should suceed. G.Gambhir.- may play second or third test... V.Kohli will surely play well. C.Pujara.. if he plays well INDIA Will do well R.Sharma-.........if he fails he shud be dropped from the eleven A.Rahane- he shud play ahead of Rohit sharma MS.Dhoni © W.Saha S.Binny- wont get a chance. R.Jadeja- Should not be played but if one spinner is to be picked he shud be picked ahead of Ashwin R.Ashwin- he fails in england I.Sharma... i guess he is not fast enuf now and he does not understand what SWing is? V.Aaron- is fast enuf and i beleive he will Suceed .. B.Kumar- Should be our MAIN wicket taker... S.Ahmed- Should be our highest wicket taker P.Singh- will carry drinks I.Pandey- Great Talent and could get a chance if he does get a chance he will surely get wickets..he shud play as our 4th fast bowler.

renjith Posted June 6, 2014 Posted June 6, 2014 last time eng under flower was almost at their peak. india had an ageing battling lineup and a pathetic bowling line up. this time around eng is very inexperienced. even their experienced ones are not in form. india has a young batting lineup which showed some promise against sa and nzw. our bowling lineup is also more promising except the 4th bowler (spinner). so expecting a close contest this time. eng may win the series, but this time around we have the team to make it tight.

The young Indian attack will be led by Ishant Sharma and Bhuvneshvar Kumar in the challenging five-Test series, beginning next month. Mohammed Shami, Varun Aaron and R Ashwin are the other bowlers in the team but Vengsarkar is apprehensive about their effectiveness. "It will be tough for India. We need to have bowlers who can get them out twice but unfortunately I don't see any bowler because we will play with four bowlers. Out of four bowlers you have to have two bowlers who can get 10 wickets in a match, which I don't see anyone doing it," Vengsarkar said after launching a website for his academy. "But you never know in cricket, anything can happen. I hope India does well. But England team is very good in England. After a long time we are playing a five Test match series, I hope we do well, that is important for us," he said. India's tour of England commences on June 26 with a three-day game in Leicester. The visitors are to play one more three-day game against Derbyshire (July 1-3) before the series starts on July 9 at Trent Bridge. The other Tests are to be played at Lord's (July 17-21), Ageas Bowl in Southampton (July 27-31), Old Trafford (August 7-11) and The Oval (August 15-19). Vengsarkar is of the belief that playing just two practice games before the Test series is not enough to get acclimatised to the conditions. "First couple of Test matches will be tough because they have no clue about the conditions and they must prepare well. "Two practice matches are quite less, they must play at least 4-5 matches before the first Test match," he said. Former India player Ajit Agarkar, who was also present at the event said, "Five Tests is not going to be easy. But England are rebuilding as well, which might be a good thing for India. Their bowling attack looks settled with James Anderson. Stuart Broad maybe fit and in their conditions they generally bowl well. Couple of tours, our batsmen have done well in South Africa and New Zealand which will help." With the Indian squad having many players who would be playing in England for the first time, Vengsarkar said adapting to the conditions would be key. "They are going in the first half of the summer, it will swing and seam more than India. Youngsters will have to adapt to the conditions very quickly. It is very crucial. In Australia you have to adapt to the bounce and England you have adapt to the movement of the delivery all around," he said. Vengsarkar, the only player to have scored three centuries at Lord's, said the Test series in England in 1979 was easy for the Indian team as they had played the World Cup over there, prior to the series. "We were there at least a month in advance before the Test match started, so we could adjust and adapt to the conditions," he said. He parried a question on coach Duncan Fletcher's performance and said,"I believe in Indian coaches. Sanjay Bangar and WV Raman have done extremely well in IPL so you should root for Indian coaches." Only three Indian players from the current squad have played Test matches in England but Agarkar said the inexperience is bound to be there with top players like VVS Laxman, Rahul Dravid and Sachin Tendulkar retiring in recent years. "That is always going to be a challenge. When you have guys like Tendulkar or Dravid or Laxman suddenly leaving and with (Virender) Sehwag not in the team, those guys have played over a 100 Tests and when you have top four of the six batters suddenly gone in the space of last couple of years, you are going to have inexperience. But they have had reasonable tours of New Zealand and South Africa, batting wise," Agarkar said.

The team who can demolish the SL batting attack for 67 runs. This time there won't be any Dravid or Tendulkar or VVS. Our batting attack this time is very poor, With none other than Kohli, Pujara, Rahane and Dhoni who can play in this conditions. Kohli and Pujara has to play a lead role in batting. And regarding the bowling we have a fair attack this time IMPO, With Shami, Bhuvi, Aaron, Pankaj and Pandey. Shami and Bhuvi will be much effective in England. Bhuvi is now no more a Right arm Medium, clocked 140+ on consistent basis in IPL and In England will be our best New ball bowler along with Shami who is as good as Bhuvi with the New and Old ball and with consistent Pace of 140+ will be our frontline pacer. BUT UNLESS AND UNTIL DHOBI PLAYS A 6+5 COMBO EXCLUDING PISHANT AND ASHWINI It's nearly impossible to win in England. My team would be - Gambhir, Pujara, Kohli, Rahane, Rohit, MSD, Jaddu, Bhuvi, Aaron, Shami, Pandey/Pankaj?
