rkt.india Posted November 18, 2015 Posted November 18, 2015 Break-up of Petrol PricesAs per the report, based on the foreign exchange rates and crude oil prices of October 2015, the actual cost of production for oil companies comes to around Rs 24.75 per litre (ONLY). This in turn they sell to dealers at Rs 27.24/litre to bring in profits and other costs. The dealer in turn pockets about Rs 2.26/litre for their own profits and expenditures. So, after all the stakeholders have got their share, for every liter of petrol you and I should pay less than Rs 30 per liter, correct? But there is another stakeholder which takes its share – the Indian central and state government! It applies a total excise duty of Rs 19.06/litre. This includes a basic excise duty of Rs 7.06/litre and the rest as special excise duties and educational cess. Taking into accord the city of Delhi, the state government applies a VAT of Rs 12.14/litre.http://bikeadvice.in/taxes-are-higher-than-actual-price-of-petrol-now-break-up-inside/

There is a difference between USD gaining and rupee losing. Some of these morons dont understand that a weaker rupee at this time will help exports.
beautifulgame Posted November 29, 2015 Posted November 29, 2015 There is a difference between USD gaining and rupee losing. Some of these morons dont understand that a weaker rupee at this time will help exports. And it massively affects imports and causes FDI outflow when Rupee depreciates .Even exporters are affected when there is too much volatility as they are exposed to exchange risk . 90-95% of external borrowings is unhedged as well Just Google what happened to Tiruppur export market when Rupee suddenly depreciated beyond the 48-54 range during 2009/10 .Ridiculous and ignorant to say Rupee depreciating is good for our economy in any way .
beautifulgame Posted November 29, 2015 Posted November 29, 2015 Oh and since the NDA govt took power and abolished the export subsidy , the exports % have fallen for a year continuously .Thankfully they have seen some sense, realize their stupidity and reintroduced it again recently .
