Now I have already expressed how I feel about the incident,I wouldn't have cared much usually but the fact that someone is well within his rights to have his religious sensibilities hurt and as a citizen he has full rights to file an FIR,and the judge within the constitution issuing a warrant,don't see anything wrong with that.So it was done in a legal manner,no hunting down Dhoni with a mob,So yes it is Dhoni's mistake. Also read the article the warrant was issued because Dhoni missed 3 summons,no matter how trivial or idiotic the matter might have been, it is the law that he should have either honoired or atleast asked permission from the court to miss the date,Infact he would have easily been given the permission too given his international sporting commitments. Just ignoring a court summon is a bone headed move. For a Millionaire he doesn't even seem to have a legal advisor :banghead:

Temujin Khaghan Posted June 25, 2014 Posted June 25, 2014 actually in USA and other western countries, people make a lot of fun of Christianity. in fact there are number of movies and references in movies which mock jesus and their religion. they happily released da vinci code and made a lot of money. whereas in India where there are around 5% christians, it was banned at several places. buddy christ from Dogma it is wrong to assume that only hinduism is lenient and the most softy religion around.

I doubt Dhoni is stupid to grant permission to anyone to morph his picture into a god like figure and let the shoe be placed in the hands. Editor of the magazine should be asked questions here rather than Dhoni.

Our scriptures can be ridiculed,So many jokes on episodes from Ramayana and Mahabharata in India but no respite for Taslima and Salman Rushdie....now I am not saying put a Fatwa on the ad dsigner or Dhoni's head am I?,My religious upbringing is not like that but I am saying why the double standards? The guy who puts a warrant out is justified to feel offended period....Now if he collects a group of people and tries to perpetuate an act of violence that is idiococy. Hope you see the difference The double standards is to our advantage and not disadvantage. While growing up, we had a mentally dis-balanced kid in our colony, who use to become violent at very slight provocation. So we avoided him as much as possible. We used to joke and tease and abuse every one else but left this guy alone. It was not double standards. That's what is happening now. If today Hinduism is looked at with respect and considered peaceful, it is a good thing for us. We are counted as the sane guys, someone you can joke with and hang around. As soon as our religion is mentioned, people do not look at us with suspicion or try to walk around us on tip-toes to avoid insulting our sentiment. People like the petitioner will either just be looking for attention or want to drag us to the level of those other religions.
