Sharapova's comments pretty much sound the death knell to his line of reasoning. A Tendulkar is simply not going to be recognized in a whole host of countries. Continental Europe, Eastern Europe, The Americas, North Africa, Western Africa, the far East and the Middle East. People simply don't watch cricket there. Apart from the diaspora from the common wealth. Tendulkar could simply walk down the street in those places and he wouldn't get a second glance. However, if it were an Amitabh/ SRK to walk down those streets, chances are that he would be recognized and possibly mobbed.

Maybe that #Hobbit never crossed her line of sight. :cantstop: who f cares about what a syed eb thinks, i am sure Sachin is the saddest with the developments, imagine what he feels. He went to watch a tennis match and some bottom got to see it, but had to endure his favorite bottom not knowing him not that he would have cared much but his minions oh he would have been so ashamed by now. Poor guy cant even go see some bottom with out being messed up.

Yeah probably but we should note that Sachin did not excel based on his popularity the opposite is true for Amitab and SRK if he is not known Sachin would love it, but SRK and Amitab would probably hate it.

Show business is all about being popular. That is the benchmark with which you measure if they've excelled or not. And both Amitabh and SRK have entertained the masses, which is why they are popular in the first place.
