It seems like if one has pace thwy would automatically be relegated as inaccurate.

Not necessarily, Bumrah has pace and also accuracy and is leading the attack for us in LOIs. The critical aspect is that regardless of pace, accuracy and control is very important.

Khaleel Ahmed in this 50-over A-team tri-series in England

9.1 - 1 - 48 - 1

8.3 - 0 -30 - 2

10 - 2 -48 - 3    (  Finals )

Quite impressive.

A tall left-armer bowling 135 k to 148 k and performing well ... could be exactly what Team India needs.  Would give our pace attack variety as well as quality.

i ment in terms of perception wrt team India selections. Looking at Khaleel Avesh etc. they seem to bee good enough , chahar and thakur are preferred still.

Avesh and Khaleel do not have much domestic experience, that could be the reason. It has been the trendsince Kohli and these selectors took over.

In that case, Ankit Rajpoot could have been a LOI contender.  He is tall , gets bounce and is fast-medium. Has a natural outswinger.  Has a decent yorker and slower ball.  Was in on form in the IPL.

Would have provided variety.

yeah could be but there are other quicks who have ...Ankit Navdeep..not too sure...if one is 140+ then they are not direct in line..but someone who is fast medium 135-140 they are considered...its a bit wierd.

Agreed, I would be inclined to fast track Khaleel a bit soon into the team though as we need a left armer desparetly.

One takeaway in this match ..Umesh able to bowl ' the length ' at 135 consistently... If he continues this for sometime he should be able to do it at 140s and then we can throw Bhuvi out on these flat pitches..
