Almost all the new pacers coming through are swing bowlers like Chahar, Natarajan, Siraj and Shardul. Siraj is the best of the swing bowlers and we need him in the long run. But why are we choosing swing bowlers only ?? Saini is the only new fast bowler but is already 28 and not settled in the team. He is unlikely to bowl quick for a long time. Why are young quick bowlers like Avesh, Prasidh, Tyagi, Mavi and Nagarkoti not being developed with special attention !!!! I am not understanding this part. Offlate they have been going for short term goals ,Natrajan,Shardul ,Chahar Natrajan has done well in whatever little he has played but remains to be seen would he be able to continue with his purple patch Shardul has improved but isn't a long term prospect Chahar is only seen as t20 specialist Prasidh hasn't helped his cause either needs to do a little better in IPL(im saying IPL as no matter how much we criticize it,but it does make an impact on selectors to have a vision of our loi setup) Prasidh needs to have a good if not outstanding (atleast) IPL this year I have always said we need to groom next set of pacers for our red and white ball cricket Link to comment

And we play Bhuvi, Natarajan, Shardul and Chahar. This pace attack would be slower and shorter than every other team. One good swing bowler is good. Maybe even 2 if conditions favour. But 4 shortish swing bowlers is an overkill. They may get hit mercilessly. Suhaan and Mosher 2 Link to comment

Need at least one 145+ kph bowler in T20 team all the time. D Chahar & Shardul are bring more or less bring same skill set & having both of them is waste of a spot for a Potential express pacer like either Mavi/Prasidh. Prasidh for some reason didn't get any great backing from KKR TM as well last year.. Only when Nagarkotti was tonked around all parts he got the opportunity. Compare that To RR TM they gave Tyagi every game they can & he was eventually going in right direction by the end of season. He must be in India Shirts if he does well in IPl this year preferably on SL tour. express bowling 1 Link to comment

Helps them line the bowler up and launch into them. No matter how good a bowler is individually, they will be dismantled if the whole attack lacks variety. God help us if the attack we feature comprises of Chahar, Bhuvi and Shardul together. This my exact point. 3 or 4 shortish swing bowlers bowling in tandem would reduce the efficacy of the individual swing bowlers. Suhaan and Mosher 2 Link to comment

Porel has looked quite innocuous in VHT. Not much pace, steep bounce or movement. Mavi and Tyagi are not even regulars in their state sides. ( although they should be ) The TM does not seem to be interested in Prasidh for the time being. Avesh is the only good quick bowler who maybe near national team selection ... but good chance that a short medium pacer will be preferred over him. Mosher 1 Link to comment
express bowling
A slower cutter by Hasnain clocks 146.x kph. ( the ball which got Khushdil ). They showed it in close up The next ball looked like a finger rolled over ball too ... but clocked 147 kph. Mosher, Suhaan and speedheat 3 Link to comment

express bowling
Siraj playing. Is it worth playing 2 fast bowlers here ?? I would have preferred Pandya to strengthen the batting. Mosher 1 Link to comment
Mosher
Siraj ahead of Umesh in India. That's a surprise. Would have preferred Umesh in India. Someone who can reverse the ball at pace. Edited March 4, 2021 by Mosher Rightarmfast, express bowling and wc2023 1 2 Link to comment
Rightarmfast
Ishant Sharma killing it. The kind of movement he generates is surreal. Decent pace at mid 130's. Very difficult to handle Ishant when he bowls like this. Forward Defence 1 Link to comment

Rightarmfast
Dont recall having seen Wasim move the ball as much as Ishant is doing. IN INDIA!!! wc2023 1 Link to comment
Forward Defence
The end from which Ishant is bowling is bouncier than the other end. Ishant must try to get a couple to bounce awkwardly off a length. English batsmen game against swing bowling is also well sorted. Playing close to the body. Feet get into position quickly. Very still and stable before playing the shot. Decisive when playing the attacking shot. No pushing or prodding. Indwin 1 Link to comment
