I am genuinely excited for this game now.

Increases the possibility of a possible slot in Perth test.  God that would be mouth watering.  He is tailor made for that track.

Mumbai is not a bad place to debut for a fast bowler.

Hopefully he has a great game.

Yeah clearly they are looking for pacer who bats at 8. Harshit at 8, Akash at 9 is good batting depth.

I guess only one among Akash and Harshit will play in Perth.

Bumrah and Siraj are certain starters.  Siraj will be there based on eggsperience.

6 frontline Batters followed by

7 Jadeja

8 Reddy

9 Harshit/Akash

10 Bumrah

11 Siraj.

They will beef up batting significantly especially in Perth.

not sure about Reddy. Hes more of a batsman, so not suited for no. 8. He can play only if we play 5 pacers or 4 pacers 2 spinners.

Also no. 7 should be Sundar but they'll go with Jadeja I guess

Harshit Debut loading perhaps

Yeah, all news are coming that Harshit will debut.
One youtuber also mentioned that Gambhir fought for Harshit's inclusion in BGT, as, the selectors were inclined towards sending him to SA for T20.
It's just that he didn't debut till now because of KKR connection.

We need to find another Harshit Rana type of bowler.

21  to 23 years old

Tall, bouncy, hit the deck

Speed  135 k to 147 k

Skilful

Can bat and hit big

150 k+ Express pacers keep getting injured everywhere in the world.

But 140 k+ pacers can play regularly and are often more skilful as bowlers. And bouncy pacers add the extra element of hostility and can pick wickets without movement.

Sen and Prasidh are much older and can't bat .. but both are fast, tall and bouncy too. Sen is better temperamentally.

But need another such young pacer.

Very much like operational cost of 5th gen fighters is ttoo much

Better to have an abundance of 4-4.5 th gen fighters

Vyshak hasn't played any ODIs either.

Read it too.

Selectors wanted Mukesh or Saini because of eggsperience. Gambhir said that Harshit is faster and younger.

It's like the selectors have no eye for talent and just pick based on eggsperience or stats. Their true choices are reflected in the T20I squad and travelling reserves.

Looking quick here.

Bumrah in 2019 wasn't even Indian.

You could consider him a white bowler or a black bowler, that was how he bowled.

But since 2020, he bowls in a stereotypically Indian manner. Why?

So Bumrah may be rested if Harshit plays

The team management doesn't rate Akashdeep, he may be dropped.

Most probably Siraj and Harshit will be the fast bowlers

Vyshak has not made his intnl debut yet, played for rcb in last ipl , does not look like anything special. May be a honest trier but nothing special.

Effort ball may be 140+ kmph but mostly sub 140 kmph in the ipl matches he played, not sure if he is a test prospect. there are faster and taller bowler aviable.

Even Deshpandey (not a v.high celling but need to reduce Bhumrah's workload atleast in Ind.)could be tried in test -- lot of domestic exp, skiddy fast what you need in a fast -bowler in Ind and seems like he has tht wkt-taking ability which recent Ind bowlers are missing badly

Bumrah was an enforcer pacer from mid 2017 to mid 2022 till his 2nd back injury. Used to hit the bat very high and very hard and rattle batters with pace and bounce.

Now he is still quick in the air but zip and bounce off the deck has reduced after back operation.

Yudhvir's 5fer vs Services:ranger: @singhvivek141

Yudhvir bowls heavy ball, with his height and strong physique, he is able to impart seam movement along with bounce.

He is another unfortunate case where the numbers don't justify how skillful he is. Plus is a good fielder and has good ability to bat, looks like a slogger but has good stability on the crease and hitting range.

Basically he is improved version of Avesh Khan, who for some reason is apple in the eyes of our selectors.

Green-top ?? -- that might be the reason for extra zip, but Yudhvir has potential at-least fr white ball.

Good line length tall, hit the deck bowler, can hit few with the bat , looked a committed fielder at the boundaries

Ranji decks have been made green seamer type for a while now.

Reason why mukki Koomar had astonishing numbers playing on Green tops of Eden.

Deshpande is fast but erratic. You will absolutely won't want such bowlers whose mere presence will end the preference for looking for fast bowlers. Plus I really doubt Deshpande is fit enough to bowl such speeds in tests. He looks one extra chapati away of entering into unfit category.

Vyshak is next Ashok Dinda, gives everything while bowling but sadly don't have the engine behind to hit high speeds. He can bowl long spells like a workhorse and will always be coming at you, but thats where his utility ends. Heard he is decent batter as well.
