How comfortable will you be choosing any of them  ?  After all, that is the purpose of choosing any A-team squad.

That’s why I’ve relentlessly criticized our selectors especially Agarkar. And the head coach n captain are also responsible for not setting expectations. 

They might take one good step here and there but then take 3 steps back simultaneously. 

The most crucial area where the selector can truly make a difference is by selecting and preparing the right players for the future - and you cannot have even a single weakness. 

Selecting the mature and performing players is easy. That’s not really where these selectors make any difference nor do they deserve any credit for good results.  A coach probably should but not the selectors. And these days we aren’t even getting good results overseas.

Changing Agarkar won’t fix anything The same mess will continue because the real problem is the mindset Most of India’s ex players still have this outdated obsession with bowlers who lack pace It’s a completely rusted mentality and until that changes our fast bowling selection will remain a joke

But my wild guess is pressure, via social media or ex cricketers. Hardly any ex cricketers will talk about these fast bowlers..most of them are happy cheerleading for batters, coz thats where the viewership will come by.

No matter how much we curse GG, but I don't think he would ever opt for trundlers. His way of functioning and choice of words maybe questionable, but I don't think he will intentionally put down a genuine quickie. If I am not wrong, he has been vocal about getting quick bowlers.

As I said maybe GG personally is the last guy I would blame I actually think GG likes big fast bowlers Morkel is the perfect example of that So I have more doubts about certain BCCI guys and their mindset when it comes to fast bowling

Kamboj and Hinge do not belong to International cricket.

Vyashak and DEshpande are a shade better but still the guys who belong to international cricket are Mayank/ashok even Yash thakur as he can bat and he gets a lot of wickets. only Mayank yadav can compete with Gurnoor/Siraj and Prasidh so if i am the selector i will want to pick Mayank Yadav or ashok sharma in tests subject to fitness. 

or may be a good left arm quick bowler.

Another mistake yash is more odi test bowl and we don't need to risk Mayank in odi should give him long rope in t20

Tyagi yes, Sakib meh, Thakur is quicker probably.

 

BCCI or selectors might have some issues with Tyagi otherwise nothing justifies his omission from even India A.

 

This guy was about to play Gabba test in 2021.. now he is nowhere close to Indian team for God knows what reasons
