Lone Wolf Posted February 22, 2023 Posted February 22, 2023 @express bowling @Mosher what will be your ROI bowling attack in upcoming Irani trophy? Last time we had Umran, Kuldeep Sen and Mukesh Kumar. Pure red ball form and considering we tour WI & SA this year. Harshit Rana Kuldeep Sen, Kartik Tyagi would be good. But I think they will include Umran (I don't mind this tbh) and Mukesh Kumar and probably Porel. Mosher 1

express bowling Posted February 23, 2023 Author Posted February 23, 2023 "Warner was struck on the elbow in the second Test in Delhi and sustained a hairline fracture. After further assessment, he will require a period of rehabilitation which will preclude any further involvement in the remainder of the Test series. Warner was substituted by Matthew Renshaw in the second innings in the second Test here with delayed concussion symptoms after being struck on the grille of his protective batting helmet by India fast bowler Mohammad Siraj in Australia's first innings. That blow came shortly after Warner had been struck on the arm by another rising delivery, with x-rays subsequently confirming the left-hander had also sustained a hairline fracture of the elbow. " This piece of news has lots of my friends, who had lost interest in cricket, discussing cricket, fast bowling and Indian fast bowling. Videos are being exchanged. There is no substitute to hostile fast bowling to create an impression about dominance as a team and interesting and fearsome bowling. Need4Speed, Vk1, Suhaan and 4 others 7

There is no substitute to hostile fast bowling to create an impression about dominance as a team and interesting and fearsome bowling. Exactly. I don't care If I see a player flattened on the pitch. We need to see hostile bowling. Cricket is a dangerous sport and that's how it should be. Tough cricket is what I expect to see. Facing chin music at 140 plus is what excites me. Toe crushing yorkers being the other aspect. Only a moron would think cricket is not a physical sport lele. There are quite a few delusional morons here actually who believe it isn't. I am certain those morons who know who they are have never played at a competitive level. Go and bat vs 125 kmph bowler who can bounce you at a decent level then you will see how truly special it is to witness these pro players handle 140 plus with relative ease. You have milliseconds to react. Good luck. Vijy and express bowling 2
tapandrun Posted February 23, 2023 Posted February 23, 2023 (edited) A v.good weekend cricketer can bowl in 115-125 kmph range and its consider fast and hard to handle at time at that level. Thats why ppl who have played/seen this knows 140 + kmph is hard to face and a common Joe's thing and ppl like to see v.high skilled professional soprtsmen/soprtswomen execute those skills. With spinners you can feel that you too can bowl like them only exceptions are Once in generation Warne and Murali like bowlers. so pace exits ppl more and want to see that competition. And a liitle things like showing the speeds adds to the excitements. Same thing with F1 and 100 m sprints, we can drive or run but we know we can not do that at that speed so that excites ppl watching v.v.high skilled and gifted ppl do what seems to be out of the world and never thought of achievables. 'That's where I am at, personally. There's nothing at stake so far as the series is concerned. The track is docile. It's more or less certain that this game will end in a draw?' After this elaborate build-up, the coin finally dropped. 'So what I will do, Sir, is I'll bowl a little slowly. I won't go flat out. I'll bowl well within myself and take out this Test.'" "'The first option is what you are saying,' Arun pointed 'You can take it easy and bowl well within yourself. You can bowl at 130-32 kmph, just finish playing this Test, then fly back home to recover and get ready for the World Cup. But in doing so, what may happen is you may end up giving the batter the confidence that he has played you well. You have bowled slowly; you have bowled within yourself; you have controlled your pace because you didn't want to exert your body and mind. But the batter doesn't know that. So, if you bowl like that and if a player like Shaun Marsh or Marnus Labuschagne plays you out, he will actually get the confidence to do it again. He's going to go one- up over you. So, tomorrow, in another match, even when you are bowling flat out, he will think, "I have played him well, I have that mental edge over him." That will give him the confidence to play you better even if you're bowling at your best. He will get accustomed to you," added Sridhar. "'The second option is to go out there and bowl another spell or two of four or five overs each, wherein you go flat out and give nothing away to the batter even on a placid track. By doing that, you will also give the impression that even on a totally docile strip on day three or day four of the fourth Test of a series that you have all but won, you're still able to come and do this. express bowling, Vk1, Mosher and 1 other 4

Very interesting. So that explains why he bowled like trash in SA second innings of the third game. Pitch got flatter. Well too bad. Suck it up and bowl bouncers.

This article shows what a gem we had as bowling coach in Bharat Arun. During his tenure we saw the Indian quicks dominate the opposition psychologically. Arun stated coaching Ind team in 2014, it was time for a change and have new thought and new pathway. The issue now is TM not having any forward thinking and not looking into longterm planning. They are happy with any kind of wins they can collect. This was seen in BD series where winning brought so much joy to them and TM looked stressed all the time in ODIs. I have no problem with age if someone is peaking late and is capable of Intl cricket they should play, this could be a v.good stop-gap arrangement. But the selections and thinking of TM has been Muddy and they do not have any plan. that is not just in bowling but also in Battting. They needed a left hander in the middle some 4 moths back (Axar was playing at 5) now they do not. They needed a leftarm fast now they donot. Useless experiments carried out with-out and planning and objectives. Fielding and fitness is in crazy nose-dive Even with on going Ind vs Aus series they chould have Added Rana/Simarjeet for 4th test if Ind wins 3rd test and make them play 4th match and may be rest Shami. This can also test if Siraj can be number 1/2 bowler or not, or if he needs time and confidence to step-up. There are signs he is capable - ODIs against SA Edited February 25, 2023 by tapandrun
