This is why I want Tyagi and other young quicks to play as many actual matches as possible. There is no substitute to actual matches. 

 

Tyagi played those practice games in the NCA Camp and that helped him too.

 

Indian bowlers are missing out as they are not allowed to play in Leagues of other countries, while bowlers of other countries are developing their skills this way.

IMHO India should focus on these 12 pacers for the present and near future. There are quick bowlers, bounce bowlers, swing bowlers, seam bowlers, bowling allrounders and left armers in this pool.

Bumrah .. high pace, bounce, seam, swing, accuracy, yorkers, 

Siraj .. pace, seam, swing, bounce

Prasidh .. pace, steep bounce, tall, seam, swing

 

Next in line .. 

 

Kartik Tyagi .. high pace, steep bounce, tall, seam, swing, yorkers 

Harshit Rana  .. high pace, steep bounce, tall, movement, can bat

Mayank Yadav .. high pace, steep bounce, tall, seam, accuracy

Umran .. really high pace, skid off the deck

Mukesh Chaudhary ( not Kumar ) .. classic swing, skid off the deck, left armer

 

 

Tyagi's skillsets are closest to lead pacer Bumrah provided he gets his line right.
