I am 100% sure Delhi will find a way or two to mess it up.

They have to let go of Saini, Ishant first...Saini can move to Haryana & Ishant should coach Delhi.

 

Few years ago Rajasthan & UP were churning out quicks after quicks...now that funnel is stagnant and all we get to see is the borderline trundlers or at max medium fast bowlers. Likes of Nagarkoti, Nathu, Ashok are lost in the system nowhere to be seen again.

That's fine, FC is anyway for him to sustain pace & learn to bowl long overs without spraying around.

Plus Umran was reasonably economical.  That is a big plus for express pacers.

Yes they should not be sprayguns either,I expect Umran to know his strength and back it as much as possible which is pinnpoint Yorkers with short deliveries as surprise weapon

When Umran is reasonably economical, it tells me that he is not bowling too many short balls and is probably bowling at full pace.

 

While an expensive Umran is usually bowling at less than full pace and bowling too many short balls.

 

The keyword is " reasonably economical " for express pacers, which is good for them if they are bowling flat out fast ... while being too economical may mean that such pacers are  losing out on aggression.

If he was short, trundler and swung the ball then bcci would suck his pee pee. Unfortunately he doesn't quite fit their requirements.

Arshdeep has a clean batswing...  That's why it is so important when it comes to slogging. 

Siraj had a decent one but he neglected his batting & instead of becoming a Shami level slogger became a Chris Martin. 

Bumrah was proper rabbit..  But he worked on it except he still has a pathetic batswing..

The beauty of having one weapon like Umran in your arsenal is that batsmen do genuinely fear/worry about the speed, so much so that his slower ball is a potential lethal wicket taking delivery.

 

I have no issue with economy, if these fast bowlers take a couple of wickets, wickets slow run rates and also opens the door for other bowlers to take wickets. Losing economy within reason is a small price to pay.

India has proven for many many years that gentle medium pacers wont win you WC tournaments. Please no one mention Amarnath in 1983. Cricket since 2000 is completely different to yesteryear.
